The main substrate is the physical carrier of the Q series PLC and undertakes the following key tasks:

Module installation and power supply

Provide slots for power modules, CPU modules, I/O modules, and intelligent modules.

Distribute the DC5V voltage output from the power module to each module and transmit control signals.

System Expansion Fundamentals

By connecting the expansion cable to the expansion board, up to 7 expansion boards can be expanded, supporting up to 4096 I/O points (maximum configuration).

Data exchange center

Realize high-speed data communication between CPU modules, I/O modules, and intelligent modules to ensure the coordinated operation of the system.

Installation precautions:

When inserting the module, hold down the lower mounting rod to ensure that the fixed protrusion is inserted into the substrate fixing hole;

When fixing with bolts, the torque should be controlled within the specified range (such as 0.6~0.8N · m) to avoid damaging the module.

Wiring specifications:

The expansion cable should be firmly connected to the connector between the main substrate and the expansion substrate to avoid poor contact;

The distance between the control line and the power cable should be kept at least 100mm to prevent electromagnetic interference.

Troubleshooting:

Module not recognized: Check if the slot is clean and unplug the module again;

Power supply abnormality: Measure the output voltage of the power module (DC5V ± 5%) and confirm that there is no short circuit or overload.
