Tension controllerIt is a device used to control the tension of strip or linear materials during processing, widely used in industries such as printing, packaging, plastics, papermaking, cables, textiles, and other roll processing industries. Its core function is to ensure that the material maintains a constant tension during transportation, winding or unwinding by adjusting the output of the actuator (such as magnetic powder clutch, magnetic powder brake, torque motor or servo motor), avoiding product quality problems caused by tension fluctuations (such as wrinkles, fractures or tensile deformation).
Tension controllerMain types:
Manual tension controller:
Principle: Manually adjust the excitation current of the clutch/brake according to the change in roll diameter.
Features: Easy to operate, but relies on human experience, suitable for scenarios with low precision requirements.
Application: Small printing machines, packaging machines.
Semi automatic tension controller (roll diameter type):
Principle: By using proximity switches or encoders for non-contact detection of roll diameter, the required torque is automatically calculated and tension is adjusted.
Characteristic: Reduce manual intervention, but require pre-set relationship curve between roll diameter and tension.
Application: Medium speed printing machine, rewinding machine.
Fully automatic tension controller:
Principle: Closed loop control, real-time feedback signal through tension sensor, PID algorithm dynamically adjusts the output of the actuator.
Features: High precision (within ± 1%), fast response (sampling speed ≤ 100ms), support for multi axis switching and taper tension control.
Application: High speed printing machine, lithium battery electrode coating machine, optical film stretching line.
