Dual temperature digestion instrument: an efficient converter for sample pretreatment
Date: 2025-08-12Read: 0
In the fields of environmental monitoring, food testing, water quality analysis, etc., sample digestion treatment is a key step in subsequent testing,Dual temperature digestion instrumentWith the ability to digest at two different temperatures simultaneously, it has become a powerful assistant for improving pretreatment efficiency and is widely used in laboratory scenarios that require batch processing of different types of samples.
In the field of environmental monitoring, the dual temperature digestion instrument is the preprocessing core of water sample analysis. When detecting chemical oxygen demand (COD) in water, it is necessary to digest at 165 ℃ for 20 minutes, while the digestion of total phosphorus and total nitrogen requires conditions of 120 ℃ and 125 ℃, respectively. The two independent temperature control zones of the dual temperature digestion instrument can simultaneously meet different needs, enabling the simultaneous digestion of COD and total phosphorus. Samples that originally needed to be processed in batches can now be completed simultaneously, increasing efficiency by more than 50%. In soil heavy metal detection, after microwave-assisted digestion of the sample, acid removal (150 ℃) and constant temperature treatment before volume determination (80 ℃) can be carried out separately on a dual temperature digestion instrument to reduce the number of sample transfers, lower the risk of contamination, and control the relative standard deviation of the detection results within 5%.

In the food testing laboratory, this equipment is suitable for the digestion needs of diverse samples. When detecting nitrite in food, the sample needs to be digested in a water bath at 100 ℃, while detecting total arsenic requires high-pressure digestion at 200 ℃. The dual temperature digestion instrument can process both types of samples simultaneously, shortening the experimental period. In the pre-treatment of protein detection in dairy products, the digestion step of Kjeldahl nitrogen determination method can be completed in the high-temperature zone (420 ℃), while the low-temperature zone (150 ℃) can be used for constant temperature storage of sample diluent, achieving efficient connection of the pre-treatment process. Its heating uniformity (temperature fluctuation ≤± 1 ℃) ensures consistent digestion effect of samples from the same batch, improving the reliability of detection data.
In water quality analysis and scientific research experiments, the dual temperature digestion instrument demonstrates flexible advantages. In the detection of disinfection by-products in drinking water, headspace equilibrium can be performed in the low-temperature zone (40 ℃), while another batch of water samples can be digested before turbidity analysis in the high-temperature zone (100 ℃), achieving parallel processing of different items. When conducting environmental pollutant degradation experiments in scientific research institutions, the dual temperature digestion instrument can simulate the digestion process at two different temperatures, compare and analyze the influence of temperature on degradation efficiency, and provide accurate experimental data for research. Its adjustable heating power and timing function allow for personalized digestion programs to be set according to sample characteristics, adapting to processing requirements ranging from trace (10mL) to constant (100mL) samples. In addition, the anti-corrosion design of the dual temperature digestion instrument can withstand strong acid and alkali corrosion, extend the service life of the equipment, and reduce laboratory maintenance costs.
