Working principle of online PH/ORP controller
Date: 2025-06-27Read: 2
Online PH/ORP controllerWidely used in wastewater treatment, purified water, circulating water, boiler water and other systems, as well as in electronic, electroplating, printing and dyeing, chemical, food, pharmaceutical and other process fields, it is highly popular in harsh environments.
  Online PH/ORP controllerAdvantages:
1. Real time monitoring and automatic control: It can reflect the pH value and ORP changes of the solution in real time, and automatically adjust according to the set values to maintain the stability of the solution.
2. Improving production efficiency and product quality: By precisely controlling pH and ORP, optimizing production processes, and enhancing product quality and production efficiency.
3. Reduce labor costs and operational risks: Automated operations reduce manual intervention, lowering operational risks and labor intensity.
4. Data recording and analysis: Record measurement data for subsequent analysis and process optimization, and improve management level.
5. Strong adaptability: Suitable for various complex industrial environments and able to meet the needs of different industries.
Working Principle:
1. PH measurement: Based on the measurement principle of pH electrode, a primary cell is composed of a hydrogen ion glass electrode and a reference electrode to measure the concentration of hydrogen ions in the solution, which is then converted into pH value.
2. ORP measurement: Using an oxidation-reduction electrode to measure the oxidation-reduction potential of a solution, reflecting the oxidizing or reducing properties of the medium.
3. Signal processing: The controller converts the potential difference signal measured by the electrode into pH or ORP value, compares it with the set target value, and achieves automatic control by adjusting the amount of acid, alkali, or redox agent added.
