Application Solution - CO2 Reduction Reaction Gas Phase Product Analysis

Introduction:

The extensive development and application of fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gas by humans generate a large amount of carbon dioxide gas, which causes an imbalance in the carbon cycle and leads to greenhouse effect and climate change. Carbon dioxide and CO2 recovery is the fundamental solution to this problem. Among them, the catalytic reduction of carbon dioxide (CO2) is a method with good economic benefits, which can produce various gaseous and liquid chemical raw materials such as hydrogen, carbon monoxide, methane, ethane, ethylene, methanol, ethanol, formic acid, etc.

Carbon dioxide reduction reaction (CO ₂ RR) is an important technology for converting carbon dioxide into organic compounds, mainly carried out through two methods: electrocatalysis and photocatalysis. It is widely used in organic synthesis, fuel production, environmental protection, biomedical and other fields.

Shanghai Jinghe Analytical Instrument Co., Ltd. can provide complete analytical solutions and detection equipment for carbon dioxide (CO2) catalytic reduction experiments in major universities and enterprises.

Method principle:

The sensitive element is a hot wire, such as tungsten wire, platinum wire, rhenium wire, and a bridge is composed of hot wires. After passing through a constant current, the temperature of the tungsten wire increases, and its heat is transferred to the pool wall through the surrounding carrier gas molecules. When the tested component enters the thermal conductivity cell together with the carrier gas, the thermal conductivity of the mixed gas is different from that of the pure carrier gas (usually lower than that of the carrier gas), and the heat transmitted by the tungsten wire to the cell wall also changes, resulting in a change in the temperature of the tungsten wire and a change in its resistance, which in turn generates an unbalanced potential at the output end of the bridge as a signal output.
