Ultrasonic mixer usage tutorial
Date: 2025-10-13Read: 29
1Ultrasonic mixerPre-operation preparation
Equipment inspection
Confirm that the power is turned off (OFF), adjust the switch to manual mode, reset the sound wave adjustment potentiometer to zero (0 or 1), and reset the mixing time, delay time, and cooling time parameters to zero (position 000).
Check whether the ultrasonic vibration components (transducer, amplitude rod, tool head) are securely installed, whether the reaction vessel or container is damaged, and ensure good sealing.
Confirm that the power cord is properly grounded to avoid the risk of electrical leakage.
Environment and Sample Preparation
Place the device on a stable and well ventilated table, away from heat sources or strong electromagnetic interference sources.
Prepare samples according to experimental requirements, ensuring that the container is clean and the capacity matches (too much or too little can affect the effect). Solid samples need to be pre treated (such as cutting and grinding), while liquid samples need to be treated with a suitable crushing solution (covering the sample but avoiding overflow).
2、 Parameter Setting and Debugging
Basic parameter adjustment
Oscillatory frequency: Select according to the properties of the sample (such as 28kHz or 40kHz dual frequency switching, suitable for different particle size requirements).
Power and amplitude: Initially set low power (such as 30% -50%), gradually increase to the target value (to avoid sample overheating or equipment overload).
Time parameters: Set mixing time, delay time (such as preheating requirements), and cooling time (to prevent sudden temperature rise).
Pressure and temperature (if applicable): Adjust the working pressure to around 4kg/cm ², and the temperature control should meet the stability requirements of the sample.
Sample positioning optimization
Place the container at the ultrasound focus or node (by moving the container or adjusting the device position), ensuring that the distance between the sample and the probe is appropriate (a few millimeters to a few centimeters).
Use fixtures to secure the container and prevent it from moving or tilting during operation.
3、 Startup and operation monitoring
Device startup
Connect the power and air source (if necessary), press the power button (ON), and observe if the indicator light is on normally.
Switch the conversion switch to the "Sound Wave Inspection" position and quickly confirm the amplitude of about 1A (to avoid prolonged stay and damage to electrical components).
Lay the film or protective layer on the lower mold (if welding operation is involved), cover the upper mold after placing the sample, and keep your hands away from the stroke range.
Running process monitoring
Observe the changes in sample status after startup (such as bubble generation and dispersion effect), and adjust parameters (such as power and time) as necessary.
Closely monitor indicator lights, display screens, or pressure gauges to ensure that there are no abnormalities in the equipment (such as power fluctuations, temperature exceeding limits).
If overflow, sedimentation or abnormal equipment noise is found, immediately stop the operation and check the cause.
4、 Post operation processing and maintenance
Equipment shutdown and sample processing
After the operation is completed, turn off the power switch first, stop oscillation, and then remove the sample container (avoid direct contact with hot surfaces).
Follow up processing (such as filtration, centrifugation, storage) according to sample requirements to ensure data accuracy.
Equipment cleaning and maintenance
Clean the working chamber, probe and related components, wipe with a soft cloth, and avoid corrosive cleaning agents.
Regularly check whether the transducer and amplitude lever are loose or worn, and replace aging components in a timely manner.
When not in use for a long time, disconnect the power and store in a dry and ventilated environment.
5Ultrasonic mixerSafety precautions
Operational Security
Avoid use in damp or flammable environments to prevent short circuits or fires.
Wear protective goggles and gloves during operation to prevent sample splashing or high temperature burns.
Prohibit no-load operation or overload use to extend equipment lifespan.
Sample safety
Ensure that the sample is compatible with the container material and avoid chemical reactions that may corrode the equipment.
For temperature sensitive samples, it is necessary to strictly control the temperature parameters to prevent denaturation or failure.
