Reducing the equipment cost of precise oil metering systems requires multidimensional optimization from hardware design, technology selection, integration solutions, and supply chain management. The following are specific strategies and implementation paths:

1、 Core hardware cost optimization: streamlining components and standardizing design
1. Selection and replacement of measuring sensors
Low cost sensor solution:
For medium precision requirements (error ≤ 0.5%), use a turbine flowmeter (cost about one-third of an electromagnetic flowmeter) instead, suitable for oils and fats with viscosity<500cSt (such as vegetable oil);
For high viscosity oils such as butter and palm oil, a volumetric elliptical gear flowmeter is used, which reduces the cost by more than 50% compared to a Coriolis mass flowmeter, but requires a temperature compensation module (as viscosity is affected by temperature).
Non contact detection alternative:
Using a combination of ultrasonic level gauge and density gauge to calculate mass (cost<2000 yuan), replacing high-precision mass flow meters, suitable for batch measurement scenarios (such as tank packaging), but ensuring that the container shape is regular (error can be controlled within 1-2%).
2. Lightweight design of control system
PLC selection downgrade:
Replace medium-sized PLCs with small PLCs (such as Siemens S7-200SMART, cost<3000 yuan), optimize programs (reduce analog modules, expand with digital IO) to meet simple logic control, suitable for single channel metering systems.
No PLC solution:
Adopting a microcontroller (such as STM32) and a self-made touch screen controller (total cost<1000 yuan), integrating flow acquisition (ADC sampling) and motor drive functions, suitable for non complex algorithm scenarios (such as fixed volume quantification).
2、 System architecture optimization: integrated design and functional reuse
1. Multi parameter fusion detection reduces the number of sensors
Temperature viscosity flow linkage calculation:
Only installing temperature sensors and turbine flow meters, by establishing a mathematical model of oil viscosity temperature (such as Andrade equation), correcting the flow data to the volume at standard temperature, replacing temperature compensated mass flow meters, the cost is reduced by 70% (mass flow meters are usually>50000 yuan).
Pressure flow inverse density:
Installing pressure sensors in pipelines, using the Bernoulli equation to infer fluid density from pressure drop, and calculating mass flow rate by combining volumetric flow rate, is suitable for viscosity stable oils (such as a batch of edible oil), which can save the cost of a density meter (about 8000 yuan).
2. Modularization and generalization of mechanical structures
Detachable pipeline design:
By using quick release flanges and universal brackets, the same measuring unit can be adapted to different viscosity oils (only replacing the inner lining material of the flow meter, such as PTFE instead of 316L stainless steel), reducing the cost of repeat purchases.
Mobile portable unit integration:
Integrating flow meters, pumps, and valves into a mobile cart and connecting them to different production lines through quick couplings, replacing fixed installation systems, can increase equipment utilization by three times and reduce initial investment by 50%.
