Guilin University of Electronic Science and Technology is located in Guilin, a world-renowned scenic tourist city and a historical and cultural city in China. It is a university jointly built by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the National Defense Science and Technology Industry Bureau and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and has been selected as a university in the national "Basic Capacity Building Project for Central and Western Universities".
