What are the components of a UV analyzer?
Date: 2025-07-28Read: 0

UV analyzerIt is an instrument that uses ultraviolet spectroscopy technology for substance analysis, widely used in various fields such as chemistry, biology, medicine, environment, food, etc.

Features:

1. High precision and sensitivity: capable of detecting trace samples and providing accurate quantitative analysis results.

2. Stability and repeatability: Maintain stable performance during long-term use, with consistent results from repeated measurements.

3. Automation function: Some models have functions such as automatic sample injection and data processing to improve experimental efficiency.

4. Software and Data Processing: Equipped with user-friendly software for easy data processing and analysis, supporting data storage and export.

UV analyzerThe structural composition of:

1. Light source system: mainly includes gas discharge light sources such as hydrogen lamps and deuterium lamps, which are used to generate ultraviolet light and can produce continuous light sources in the range of 160-375nm.

2. Monochromator: Composed of an incident slit, collimator, dispersive element, focusing element, and exit slit, the core is a dispersive element such as a prism or grating, which can decompose the composite light emitted by the light source into monochromatic light and obtain ultraviolet light of the desired wavelength.

3. Sample pool: used to hold analytical samples, usually made of two materials: quartz and glass. Quartz pools are suitable for visible and ultraviolet light regions, while glass absorption pools can only be used for visible light regions.

4. Detection system: Commonly used detectors include photovoltaic cells, phototubes, and photomultiplier tubes, which can detect signals, measure changes in the intensity of monochromatic light passing through a solution, and convert light signals into electrical signals for measurement and analysis.

5. Data processing system: It can amplify, process, and record detected signals, including direct reading galvanometers, potential adjustment zero devices, digital display or automatic recording devices, etc. Many instruments are also equipped with microprocessors for easy operation, control, and data processing.
