Analysis of ultra-high pressure reverse osmosis equipment and its treatment methods
Date: 2025-09-02Read: 0
1、 The core components of ultra-high pressure reverse osmosis equipment
Ultra high pressure pump system
Type: Mainly consisting of horizontal multi-stage centrifugal pumps and high-pressure plunger pumps, among which the self balancing multi-stage centrifugal pump eliminates axial force by optimizing the impeller layout, improves operating efficiency, and extends service life.
Performance parameters: The flow range covers 6.3-1000m ³/h, the head can reach 50-1800 meters, the power can reach up to 2600KW, the speed is 1450-2950r/min, and it is suitable for transporting liquids without particles at room temperature.
Technical advantages: compact structure, low vibration, low noise, long overhaul cycle and convenient maintenance. Some models have achieved localization to replace imported products.
Reverse osmosis membrane module
Material: Imported composite membranes (such as Dongli, Heideneng, Dow, etc.) are used, with a single-stage desalination rate of 90% -99%, which can efficiently remove inorganic salts, heavy metals, and microorganisms.
Configuration: Multi stage membrane series design, combined with EDI (Electrodeionization) technology, can produce water with a resistivity of 15-18M Ω· cm, meeting the ultra pure water needs of industries such as electronics and pharmaceuticals.
Preprocessing system
Function: Through steps such as PP cotton filtration, activated carbon adsorption, and precision filtration, reduce the pollution index and residual chlorine content of raw water, and protect the reverse osmosis membrane from blockage and chemical damage.
Key equipment: including raw water pump, dosing device, quartz sand filter, activated carbon filter, etc., which need to be customized according to the quality of the raw water.
intelligent control system
Function: Implement intelligent management such as fully automatic operation, online water quality monitoring, water shortage shutdown protection, and water leakage blocking.
Scalability: Supports dual channel design, can simultaneously produce pure water and ultrapure water, and reserves space for functional upgrades (such as adding UV sterilization and ultrafiltration modules).
2、 Processing methods for ultra-high pressure reverse osmosis equipment
Preprocessing stage
Operation points:
Check the water level and raw water pressure of the pre-treatment water tank to ensure that the incoming water meets the requirements of the reverse osmosis equipment (conductivity ≤ 500 μ s/cm).
Rinse the pre-treatment filter forward and backward for 30 minutes, observe the water quality of the effluent, and switch to operation mode after passing the inspection.
Purpose: To remove suspended solids, colloids, and some organic matter, and reduce the risk of membrane fouling.
Ultra high pressure reverse osmosis treatment
Startup steps:
Open the front water valve of the security filter and exhaust the internal air.
Start the high-pressure pump and gradually increase the pressure to the design value (such as 1.5-2.0MPa) to avoid damage to the membrane components caused by sudden pressure changes.
Soak the reverse osmosis membrane and rinse the protective solution with low pressure to ensure the membrane surface is clean.
Operation monitoring:
Real time monitoring of parameters such as water conductivity, pressure, and flow rate to ensure stable system operation.
Adjust the operating pressure according to the inlet water temperature (for every 1 ℃ increase in temperature, the water production increases by about 3%).
Chemical cleaning and maintenance
Cleaning conditions:
When the water production decreases by 5% -10% or the conductivity increases by 2.5% -5%, chemical cleaning is required.
Before long-term shutdown of the system, it is necessary to soak the membrane components in protective solution to prevent microbial growth.
Cleaning steps:
Prepare cleaning solution (such as citric acid, sodium hydroxide, etc.) and cycle for 1-2 hours (soak if necessary).
Rinse off residual cleaning solution and use water that meets the inlet specifications for low-pressure flushing.
After resuming operation, the initial produced water is discharged into the trench until the effluent indicators are qualified.
Fault handling and optimization
Common faults:
Abnormal sound of high-pressure pump: Check if it is idling, open the exhaust valve to release gas or add water.
Pipeline burst: Replace the shattered fittings and valve body, and replace the PVC check valve with stainless steel material to improve its compressive strength.
Suspended particles in water production: Check whether the reverse osmosis membrane is contaminated or damaged, and clean or replace it in a timely manner.
Optimization measures:
Regularly replace the pre-treatment filter element (such as PP cotton, activated carbon) to prevent membrane blockage.
Adjust the dosage of scale inhibitor according to water quality to prevent membrane fouling.
3、 Application Fields and Cases
seawater desalination
Scenario: The daily production of a 10000 ton seawater desalination system, where the power consumption of the high-pressure pump accounts for 35% of the operating costs.
Optimization: High efficiency water pumps and motors are selected, and the initial investment increase can be recovered in the short term through energy conservation.
Ultra pure water preparation in the electronics industry
Scenario: Semiconductor and integrated circuit production requires 18M Ω· cm ultrapure water.
Process: pretreatment → reverse osmosis → EDI → UV lamp → polishing mixed bed to ensure stable water quality.
Industrial wastewater treatment
Scenario: Wastewater reuse in industries such as chemical and electroplating, with reverse osmosis desalination rate>98%.
Case: After adopting reverse osmosis equipment, a certain electroplating factory achieved a wastewater reuse rate of 75% and saved over one million yuan in water bills annually.
