In many fields such as laboratories, electronic manufacturing, and healthcare that require strict environmental cleanliness, purification workbenches play a key role. It provides a dust-free and sterile space for fine operations, ensuring experimental accuracy, product quality, and medical safety. However, to ensure the continuous and stable performance of the purification workbench, careful and meticulous maintenance is essential. The following provides a comprehensive analysis of the maintenance points from daily cleaning to key component maintenance.
1、 Daily cleaning: maintain basic cleanliness
Before and after daily use, the purification workbench should be thoroughly cleaned. First, gently wipe the countertop with a clean and soft damp cloth to remove dust, stains, and residual reagents. If there is stubborn dirt, mild cleaning agents can be used, but corrosive chemicals must be avoided to prevent damage to the countertop material. When wiping, follow the direction of the airflow to reduce the secondary flying of dust. For liquids accidentally spilled during operation, they should be immediately dried to prevent them from seeping into the equipment and causing malfunctions. At the same time, regularly clean the surrounding environment of the workbench, remove debris, ensure smooth air circulation, and prevent external pollutants from entering the work area with the airflow.
2、 Efficient filter maintenance: core purification guarantee
The high-efficiency filter is the soul component of the purification workbench, directly related to the quality of air purification. It is generally recommended to check every 3-6 months. If there is a lot of dust in the working environment or frequent use, the cycle should be appropriately shortened. Check for dust accumulation and signs of damage on the surface of the filter. When the resistance of the filter screen increases and the wind speed significantly decreases, it indicates that the filter may be clogged and needs to be replaced in a timely manner. The replacement process must follow the specifications. First, cut off the power, remove the old filter, and carefully install a new product of the same specification to ensure good sealing, prevent unfiltered air leakage, and maintain clean airflow for pure transportation.
3、 Fan system maintenance: care for power source
As an airflow driven device, the fan is prone to accumulate dust during long-term operation, which affects the air volume and pressure. Every six months to one year, depending on the intensity of use, open the fan compartment and gently clean the dust on the fan blades and casing with a soft bristled brush. If necessary, a vacuum cleaner can be used for assistance. At the same time, check whether the fixing screws of the fan are loose. If they are loose, they should be tightened in a timely manner to ensure the smooth operation of the fan, reduce vibration and noise, and enable it to continuously and stably suck in air and push it to the filtration system, creating a uniform and stable airflow circulation inside the workbench.
4、 Electrical system inspection: safe and stable operation
Regularly check the electrical wiring and pay attention to any damage or aging, especially in the plug and socket areas. Once the insulation layer is found to be cracked, it must be replaced immediately to prevent leakage and short circuit. Test the sensitivity of the switch button to ensure accurate opening and closing actions, and avoid equipment misoperation or shutdown due to poor contact. In addition, equipped with a regulated power supply, it can effectively resist power grid fluctuations, protect precision circuits of the workbench, extend the service life of electrical components, and ensure reliable operation of the entire equipment under stable voltage.
5、 UV lamp maintenance (if equipped)
Some purification workbenches are equipped with ultraviolet disinfection function. Check the lighting condition of the lamp every month. If the brightness decreases or flashes abnormally, it may be due to aging of the lamp and should be replaced in a timely manner. After each use of ultraviolet disinfection, appropriate ventilation should be provided to remove the generated ozone, and the cumulative usage time of the lamp tube should be recorded to facilitate the understanding of its lifespan. Typically, a new lamp tube has an effective sterilization time of around 8000-10000 hours, and even if the appearance is not damaged, it needs to be replaced to maintain its strong sterilization effect.
