As the core equipment of biological experiments, the stable operation of an electric constant temperature incubator is directly related to the accuracy of experimental results such as cell culture, microbial detection, and drug development. Scientific maintenance not only extends the lifespan of equipment, but also ensures the reliability of experimental data. The following elaborates on professional maintenance plans from three aspects: daily maintenance, periodic maintenance, and key component management.
1、 Daily basic maintenance
1. Standardization of internal and external cleaning
-External dust removal: Wipe the surface of the box with a dry soft cloth daily, focusing on cleaning the dust accumulation in the heat dissipation holes to prevent ventilation obstruction from triggering overheating protection.
-Internal disinfection: After each use, wipe the inner walls and partitions with 75% medical alcohol. Stubborn stains can be lightly wiped with neutral detergent, and strong corrosive chemicals are prohibited. Note that the gaps in the sealing strip are prone to mold growth. It is necessary to regularly use a cotton swab dipped in diluted bleach (concentration<5%) for deep cleaning.
2. Environmental parameter monitoring
-Keep a heat dissipation space of ≥ 10cm around the device, away from heat sources and areas with direct sunlight.
-Record the deviation between the actual temperature and the set value daily. If the fluctuation exceeds ± 0.5 ℃, immediately check the sealing degree of the door seal and the status of the sensor.
3. Sample Management Standards
-Overloading of samples is prohibited to ensure smooth air circulation inside the box. Liquid reagents must use leak proof trays, and volatile substances should be placed in sealed containers to avoid corrosion of copper heating tubes.
2、 Periodic deep maintenance
1. Calibration of temperature control system
-Monthly no-load temperature uniformity test: Install 9 temperature probes in the workspace and monitor continuously for 2 hours. The temperature difference at each point should be ≤ ± 1 ℃. If any abnormalities occur, the PID control parameters need to be recalibrated.
-Every quarter, use a standard thermometer (with an accuracy of ± 0.1 ℃) to compare the displayed temperature and correct any deviations.
2. Maintenance of core components
-Heating module: Disassemble the back protection plate every year, remove the oxide on the surface of the heating wire, and check whether the resistance value of the heating tube is within the normal range (typical value is tens to hundreds of ohms).
-Fan maintenance: Disassemble the centrifugal fan every six months, add high-temperature lubricating grease to the bearings, clean the accumulated dust on the fan blades, and ensure a stable wind speed of 0.3-0.5m/s.
-Water level float valve: For models with humidity control, check the inlet valve filter screen monthly and replace the aging silicone hose to prevent scaling and blockage.
3. Electrical safety testing
-Measure the insulation resistance of the power cord with a megohmmeter every quarter (should be>2M Ω) and check the reliability of the grounding terminal connection.
-Test the response time of the leakage protection switch to ensure that the power is cut off within 0.1 seconds when the leakage current reaches 30mA.
3、 Special working condition response strategy
1. Emergency response to power outages
-Equipped with UPS uninterruptible power supply, it can maintain the temperature inside the box for 2-4 hours in case of sudden power outage. After restoring power, it is necessary to reset the program and observe the operating status of the equipment.
2. Disposal of pollution accidents
-If there is any overflow of culture medium or leakage of bacterial liquid, immediately stop the machine for cleaning. Use absorbent materials to absorb the liquid first, then wipe with quaternary ammonium salt disinfectant, and finally wipe with clean water.
3. Seasonal adjustment
-During the high temperature period in summer, the environmental temperature compensation coefficient can be lowered by 0.2-0.3, and the heating power threshold can be appropriately increased in the low temperature environment in winter.
4、 Archival management
Establish equipment maintenance logs, detailing the time, content, replacement of parts, and abnormal situations of each maintenance. Save calibration certificates, maintenance records, and other documents for easy traceability of equipment performance trends. When problems such as repeated tripping and slow heating occur, it is necessary to promptly contact the manufacturer's engineer to troubleshoot the motherboard or relay.
Through preventive maintenance of the system, the temperature fluctuation of the electric constant temperature incubator can be controlled within ± 0.3 ℃, effectively extending the service life of key components such as compressors and heating tubes, and providing stable environmental protection for scientific research experiments.
