Dilun Video MicroscopeIt is an advanced instrument that combines optical microscopy technology and digital imaging technology, capable of capturing, displaying, and analyzing images of the microscopic world in real time. It is widely used in fields such as scientific research, education, industrial testing, and medical diagnosis. Its core working principle covers three steps: optical magnification, camera capture, and digital imaging: high magnification optical magnification is achieved through the combination of objective and eyepiece lenses, optical images are converted into electrical signals using high-resolution cameras (such as CCD or CMOS sensors), and then converted into digital images through image processing circuits, finally presented clearly on computer screens or monitors. This process not only retains the observation function of traditional microscopes, but also achieves real-time storage, playback, and multi parameter analysis of images through digital technology.
Dilun Video MicroscopeThe usage steps need to be combined with mechanical adjustment, optical parameter setting, and software operation, as follows:
1、 Preliminary preparation
Environmental and equipment inspection
Place the microscope on a stable workbench, avoiding direct sunlight or strong light interference (to prevent image reflection), and there should be no vibration sources around (such as large instruments).
Check if the power adapter and data cable (such as HDMI, USB) are properly connected, and if the lens, stage, light source, and other components are clean (the lens needs to be wiped with specialized lens paper to avoid fingerprints or dust affecting imaging).
Sample preparation
Select the appropriate loading method based on the sample type (such as flakes, particles, circuit chips, etc.):
Small solid samples can be directly placed on the stage and fixed with tablets;
Liquid samples should be dropped onto a glass slide and covered with a cover slip to avoid contaminating the lens;
Irregular samples can be fixed with sample fixtures to ensure that the observation surface faces the lens.
2、 Device connection and startup
connect the circuit
Insert the power adapter of the microscope into the mains socket and turn on the main power switch (usually on the side or back of the body).
Connect the video output interface of the microscope to the display screen (or computer) using a data cable. To record data, you can also connect a storage device (such as a USB flash drive) or start the supporting software (drivers need to be installed in advance).
Start the system
Open the display screen or computer, start the imaging software of the video microscope (some devices have built-in systems and can be operated directly on the display screen), and confirm whether the image is displayed normally (without black or blurred screens).
3、 Optical parameter adjustment
light source adjustment
Select the type of light source (transmitted light, reflected light, or coaxial light) based on the characteristics of the sample:
Transparent/semi transparent samples (such as biological slices) are illuminated with transmitted light (light source from below the stage);
Opaque samples (such as metal parts, circuit boards) are illuminated by reflected light (light source shining from the side or above of the lens).
Adjust the brightness knob of the light source to make the image brightness uniform (too bright can easily overexpose, and too dark can blur details). Some devices support automatic dimming and can be optimized with one click.
Objective lens selection and focusing
Rotate the objective lens converter to observe from a low magnification objective lens (such as 4x, 10x) (low magnification has a large field of view, making it easy to quickly locate the sample).
Rotate the coarse focus screw to slowly lower the lens (pay attention to the distance between the lens and the sample to avoid collision) until the outline of the sample appears in the image, and then fine tune the fine focus screw to make the image clear (high magnification objectives require fine focus to prevent crushing the sample or lens).
Field of view and focal length calibration
Move the sample holder on the stage, adjust the position of the sample, and move the area to be observed to the center of the field of view.
If there is any deviation or distortion in the image, it can be optimized through the "calibration" function in the software (such as ruler calibration, focal length compensation) to ensure the accuracy of measurement or observation.
4、 Video observation and operation
Real time observation and parameter adjustment
Observing the real-time image on the display screen, if the image is color cast, the white balance can be adjusted through software (using white paper as a reference, click the "white balance" button to calibrate).
To zoom in on details, switch to a higher magnification objective (such as 40x, 100x), readjust the focus and light source brightness to ensure clear details.
Image/video capture
After observing the target area, click the "Take Photo" button in the software to save a static image, or click the "Record" button to record a dynamic video (pay attention to selecting the storage path and file format, such as JPG, MP4).
Some devices support timed shooting or continuous recording, and parameters such as shooting intervals and recording duration can be set according to needs.
Measurement and Analysis (optional)
If it is necessary to measure the sample size (such as length, area, angle), call the measuring tool in the software, select or click the feature points with the mouse, and the system will automatically calculate and display the data (it is necessary to calibrate the scale with a standard ruler in advance).
Advanced features also include image comparison, annotation (adding text, arrows), stitching (synthesizing panoramic views from multiple images), etc., which facilitate subsequent analysis or report production.
5、 Organize after use
Device shut down
First, turn off the video software and display screen, then turn off the main power of the microscope and unplug the power adapter (when not in use for a long time).
Disconnect the data cable, organize the cables, and avoid entanglement or compression.
Sample and component cleaning
Remove the sample from the stage and clean the stage (if there is any liquid residue, wipe it clean with a dust-free cloth).
The lens needs to be lightly wiped with lens paper again and covered with a lens cover; If there is a dedicated dust cover, it can cover the entire machine to prevent dust from entering.
Recording and maintenance
Record usage information (such as sample type, observation results, equipment status) for easy traceability in the future.
Regularly check whether the equipment connection wires are aging, whether the moving parts (such as the stage guide rails) are smooth, and add special lubricants if necessary (avoid using edible oil as a substitute).
