The preservation method of the Dilun reflective polarizing microscope is very particular
Date: 2025-06-14Read: 1
Dilun transmission reflection polarizing microscopeIt is an advanced microscopic device that combines optical microscopy and polarization technology, which can use polarized light to observe and analyze samples with birefringence properties. The principle of polarized light produced by the reflection, refraction, birefringence, or scattering of light under specific conditions. When natural light passes through a polarizer, its vibration is restricted in a specific direction, forming polarized light. When this polarized light passes through the sample, if the sample has birefringence, it will split the light into two beams with different vibration directions. By analyzing the interference phenomena of these beams, the internal structure and optical properties of the sample can be revealed.
Dilun transmission reflection polarizing microscopeThe storage method is as follows:
1. Clean the body
Wipe the outer shell of the microscope with a clean and soft cloth to remove surface dust, fingerprints, and other stains. Be careful to avoid using cleaning agents containing corrosive chemicals to prevent damage to the external coating of the instrument.
For optical components such as eyepieces and objective lenses, they should be gently wiped with specialized lens cleaning paper to remove surface dirt and oil stains. If there is a lot of dust on the lens, you can use a balloon to blow off the dust first, and then wipe it off. When wiping, pay attention to gently wiping in one direction to avoid scratching the lens.
2. Check and adjust the position of the components
Rotate the objective converter to the low magnification objective position to prevent damage to the high magnification objective due to accidental collisions during storage.
Lower the stage to a lower position to minimize the distance between the stage and the objective lens, reducing the potential impact of vibration or collision on the objective lens and stage.
If the microscope is equipped with adjustable components such as a spotlight, adjust it to the appropriate position and secure it to ensure that it will not change state due to shaking during storage.
3. Turn off the power and unplug the plug
Before storing the microscope, be sure to turn off the power switch and unplug the power plug from the socket to avoid damage to the instrument due to prolonged power on or sudden power outages.
4. Cover with dust cover
If the microscope is equipped with a dust cover, the dust cover should be placed on the microscope to prevent dust from falling into the interior of the instrument. The dust cover should be made of soft and breathable materials to avoid scratching the microscope when covering and removing the dust cover.
If there is no dedicated dust cover, you can also make a simple dust cover with a clean cloth or plastic film to wrap around the microscope for protection.
5. Choose a suitable storage environment
Store the microscope in a dry and well ventilated place, avoiding humid and high-temperature environments. A humid environment can easily lead to rusting and mold growth of instruments, affecting their performance and service life; High temperature environments may cause deformation and aging of instrument components. The ideal storage temperature is generally between 15 ℃ -25 ℃, and the relative humidity does not exceed 60% -70%.
The storage location should be away from strong electromagnetic interference sources such as magnetic and electric fields to prevent any impact on the electronic components and optical system of the microscope. Meanwhile, it is important to avoid placing the microscope in direct sunlight to prevent fading and aging of the instrument due to prolonged exposure.
It is best to place the microscope in a dedicated instrument cabinet or rack, avoiding direct contact with the ground to prevent damage to the instrument due to damp or dusty ground. If multiple microscopes need to be stored together, pay attention to maintaining a certain distance to prevent mutual squeezing and collision.
6. Regular inspection and maintenance
Even if the microscope is in storage, it should be inspected regularly (such as every few months). The inspection includes checking whether the appearance is damaged, whether the components are loose, and whether the optical system is clear. If any abnormal situation is found, it should be dealt with promptly or sent to professional maintenance personnel for repair.
During the inspection process, some simple maintenance can be carried out on the microscope appropriately, such as cleaning the optical components again, adding an appropriate amount of lubricating oil to the mechanical components, etc., to ensure that the instrument can maintain good performance in the next use.
