Electric flange butterfly valve is a commonly used electric driven butterfly valve
Date: 2025-09-01Read: 28
Electric flange butterfly valve is a rotary valve driven by electric energy, which rotates the butterfly plate around the axis by 0 ° -90 ° through an electric actuator to achieve the opening and closing, adjustment or flow direction switching of pipeline medium. Its core functions include automation control, remote operation, and integration into industrial pipeline systems, widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemical, water treatment, power, and heating.
Electric flange butterfly valve is a commonly used electrically driven butterfly valve in industrial fluid control systems. It is connected by a flange and driven by an electric actuator to rotate the valve disc to achieve fluid on/off or flow regulation. It is widely used in fields such as water supply and drainage, petrochemicals, power, metallurgy, etc. It has the characteristics of compact structure, convenient operation, and high degree of automation.
The working logic of the electric flange butterfly valve is based on the combination of "electric drive+butterfly valve shut-off". The core is to convert electrical energy into mechanical energy through an electric actuator, drive the valve disc to rotate to change the cross-sectional area of the flow channel, and thus control the fluid:
Signal reception and driving: The electric actuator receives external control signals (such as 4-20mA analog signals, switch signals), and the internal motor starts and reduces speed and increases torque through a reduction mechanism (such as a gearbox);
Valve disc action: The output shaft of the actuator drives the valve stem to rotate, and the other end of the valve stem is connected to the valve disc (disc-shaped), causing the valve disc to rotate around the axis of the valve stem;
Flow control:
When the valve disc rotates to 0 °, it adheres to the valve seat, the flow channel is blocked, and the valve is in a fully closed state;
When the valve disc rotates to 90 °, the valve disc is parallel to the direction of the flow channel, the flow channel is unobstructed, and the valve is in a fully open state;
When the valve disc rotates between 0 ° and 90 °, the opening of the flow channel can be accurately controlled by adjusting the rotation angle to achieve flow regulation.
Classified by structural form
Center sealed butterfly valve: The center of the valve disc coincides with the axis of the valve stem, with a simple structure and low cost, suitable for low-pressure and large-diameter pipelines.
Eccentric sealing butterfly valve: The center of the valve disc is offset from the axis of the valve stem (single eccentricity, double eccentricity, triple eccentricity), which can reduce the friction between the valve disc and the valve seat, extend the service life, and is commonly used in high-pressure and high sealing requirements scenarios (such as petrochemical pipelines).
