Installation and Maintenance Specification for Secondary Water Supply Online Monitoring Instrument
Date: 2025-09-04Read: 0
Secondary water supply online monitoring instrumentInstallation and maintenance are important steps in ensuring water quality safety and promptly detecting and addressing water quality issues. The following are the installation and maintenance specifications:
1、 Installation specifications
1. On site investigation and site selection
Before installation, it is necessary to conduct on-site inspections of the monitoring points to understand the type of water source, water quality conditions, environmental conditions (such as temperature, humidity, electromagnetic interference, etc.), and the feasibility of the installation location.
Choose a relatively stable, undisturbed, and far from the pollution source location as the installation site to ensure that the monitoring equipment can accurately reflect the water quality condition.
2. Equipment selection
Select appropriate online monitoring instruments based on monitoring needs, considering measurement parameters (such as pH value, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, residual chlorine, microbial indicators, chemicals, pressure, temperature, etc.), measurement range, accuracy, stability, and compatibility with existing systems.
3. Installation preparation
Prepare necessary installation materials such as cables, pipes, joints, brackets, seals, etc., and ensure that their quality meets standards.
Provide professional training to installation and commissioning personnel to familiarize them with equipment operation, installation procedures, and safety regulations.
4. Equipment installation
Install a suitable bracket based on the size and weight of the device, and securely fix the bracket to the ground or wall using expansion screws or other fixing methods.
Connect the sampling system, including components such as sampling pumps, filters, and pipelines, to ensure unobstructed sampling paths and set appropriate sampling frequencies and depths.
Connect the power cord of the online monitoring device to a stable power outlet and connect the communication cable to the data center or control room according to the instructions.
According to the equipment manual, install the sensor correctly in the sampling system, ensuring that the sensor is in full contact with the water and not affected by impurities.
5. Equipment debugging
After connecting the power supply, perform a power on self-test according to the equipment manual to check if all components are working properly and if there are any abnormal alarms.
Calibrate the sensor using standard solution to ensure the accuracy of the measurement data.
Set the measurement parameters, sampling period, data storage format, and other parameters of the monitoring instrument according to actual needs.

2、 Maintain standards
1. Daily inspection
Every day, the operation status of the instrument and whether the data transmission system is normal should be checked through remote data viewing or on-site inspection.
Regularly check the supply of tap water, the condition of pumping water, and whether the internal pipelines are unobstructed, and clean them if necessary.
2. Regular calibration and maintenance
Regularly calibrate sensors to ensure long-term accuracy of measurement data. The calibration cycle should be determined based on the equipment manual and actual situation.
Regularly inspect cables for damage and aging, and replace them promptly if there are any abnormalities.
Regular maintenance should be carried out according to the type of electrode. For example, for electrochemical electrodes, it is necessary to regularly replace the electrolyte; For optical electrodes, it is necessary to clean the optical window.
3. Cleaning and maintenance
Regularly wipe the casing of the online monitoring device with a soft damp cloth to maintain cleanliness.
Regularly clean the surface of the probe to avoid impurities interfering with the measurement results. When cleaning, gently brush with a soft bristled brush and then rinse with clean water. Do not use irritating chemicals.
4. Troubleshooting and Handling
If encountering malfunctions such as unresponsive instruments or abnormal monitoring results, the cause should be promptly investigated and the problem resolved. When troubleshooting, basic information such as power supply and cable connections should be checked first. If the problem is still not resolved, it is recommended to contact the manufacturer or professional personnel for maintenance.
5. Safety management
When operating online monitoring devices, necessary protective equipment such as chemical protective goggles, lab coats, and chemical protective gloves should be worn to avoid direct contact with toxic and harmful substances.
Untrained personnel are not allowed to operate online monitoring devices to ensure safe operation.
6. Data management
Establish a comprehensive data management system to ensure the accuracy and traceability of monitoring data.
Regularly export and save historical data for subsequent analysis and processing.
Secondary water supply online monitoring instrumentThe installation and maintenance of the equipment require strict adherence to relevant specifications and requirements to ensure stable and accurate water quality monitoring. At the same time, operators should receive professional training and be familiar with equipment operation and maintenance methods to ensure the smooth progress of water quality monitoring work.
