Fully automatic nitrogen blowerWorking principle and usage

Working principle of fully automatic nitrogen blower:

There are two methods to accelerate evaporation: enhancing the airflow around it and its temperature. Nitrogen is still an inert gas that can also serve to isolate oxygen and prevent oxidation. The nitrogen blower achieves concentration through these principles. It rapidly, continuously, and controllably blows nitrogen onto the surface of heated samples, achieving rapid concentration of a large amount of samples.
Instructions for using the fully automatic nitrogen blower: After installing the nitrogen blower, the chassis is supported in a constant temperature water bath. Turn on the water bath power, set the water bath temperature, and the water bath begins to heat up. Upgrade the nitrogen blower and place the samples that need to be evaporated and concentrated on the sample positioning racks, which are supported by trays. The height of the trays and positioning racks can be adjusted according to the size of the training sample test tubes. Open the needle valve of the flowmeter, and nitrogen gas flows through the flowmeter and gas pipeline to the distribution plate. After distribution, it is sent to the needle valve tubes above various grades(Installed on the valve plate). Then, by adjusting the needle valve tube through online calibration, nitrogen gas is blown towards the liquid sample test tube through the needle valve tube and needle. The needle valve tube can be slid up and down by adjusting the locking nut, and the needle height can be adjusted to create ripples on the surface of the sample without splashing it. Afterwards, place the nitrogen blower in a water bath until evaporation and concentration are complete.
The fully automatic nitrogen blower is cleaned and maintained in the following ways.
1. Heating medium: Use distilled water and deionized water to prevent the formation of scale on the water bath wall. Be careful not to use organic solvents as heating media.
2. Algae remover: Adding algae remover to water in a water bath without heating can prevent biological contamination. Acidic algaecides should not be used, and it should be ensured that the algaecides used do not affect the samples to be processed.
3. Change water: It is recommended to change the water in the water bath once a week, not exceeding one month.

4. Acidic environment: When in contact or exposed to acidic materials, vapors, or samples, they should be immediately cleaned, neutralized with a moderate amount of sodium bicarbonate solution or other similar solution, and then rinsed with clean water. Long term exposure to acidic substances will damage the instrument. If exposed to acidic substances for a long time, protective measures should be taken.
5. Needle: After each use, the needle should be cleaned to minimize contamination. Organic solvent washing, high-pressure disinfection, and Soxhlet extraction techniques can be used.
6. Immersion: The bottom of the bath is water-resistant but not waterproof. Never immerse the water bath in any liquid or place it in a place where soaking may occur.

1、Take protective measures for your hands and face

During the sample heating process, if hot water splashes out from the waterproof bath and burns hands and eyes, it is necessary to take protective measures for hands and face before operation, such as wearing gloves and eye masks.

1Ensure good ventilation

To prevent some vapors, gases, and particles during operationThe loading of smoke, soot, dust, and suspended particles into the instrument affects the accuracy of the experiment, and requires the use of fume hoods, hoods, or local ventilation methods to remove pollutants.
3. Do not move the nitrogen blower
Do not move the nitrogen blower during the experiment. The experimental instrument should be in a high-temperature heating state to prevent burns.
4. Use a three wire grounded power supply
The nitrogen blower has a high power output and requires a three wire grounded power supply to ensure electrical safety during use.
5. Do not open the water bath shell with electricity
During the experiment, the instrument is working with electricity, and leakage or electric shock accidents may occur due to the passage of substances in the waterproof bath, posing a danger. Please do not open the outer shell of the water bath with electricity.
6. Non professional personnel are prohibited from repairing instruments
The maintenance work of the nitrogen blower should be carried out by professionals, as its internal structure is extremely complex, and improper replacement of components may cause damage to the nitrogen blower or pose safety hazards.
7. Not suitable for detecting highly flammable substances
Highly flammable substances, such as petroleum ether, are prone to explosion under high-temperature heating tests, therefore, nitrogen blowers are not suitable for detecting highly flammable substances.
8. Do not use acidic or alkaline substances as heating media
Do not use organic solvents as heating media. Organic solvents are volatile and neurotoxic. Inhalation can cause dizziness, headache, insomnia, frequent dreaming, drowsiness, weakness, memory loss, loss of appetite, weight loss, sweating, emotional instability, accelerated or slowed heart rate, and other symptoms. It is recommended to use distilled water and deionized water as heating media, which are not only safe but also effective in preventing scale formation on the water bath wall.
9. Wash the water bath frequently
After the experiment is completed, adding a algaecide to the water in the water bath without heating can prevent biological contamination. Acidic algaecides should not be used, and it should be ensured that the algaecides used do not affect the samples to be processed. When in contact or exposed to acidic materials, steam, or samples, they should be immediately cleaned, neutralized with a moderate amount of sodium bicarbonate solution or other similar solution, and then rinsed with clean water. Long term exposure to acidic substances will damage the instrument. It is recommended to change the water in the water bath once a week for no more than a month.
