Henan University of Science and Technology (HAUST), also known as Henan University of Science and Technology, is located in Luoyang, the "Millennium Capital, Peony Flower City" and the sub center city of the Central Plains Urban Agglomeration. It is a university jointly built by the National Defense Science and Industry Bureau and the People's Government of Henan Province, a provincial key university, and one of the three comprehensive universities under key construction in Henan Province. It is listed in the Basic Capacity Building Project, Engineer Education and Training Plan, Doctor Education and Training Plan, and Agriculture and Forestry Talent Education and Training Plan of universities in central and western China. It has been selected as a national demonstration university for deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform, a continuing education base for technical personnel at the provincial level, and a base for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and technology transfer of higher education institutions. It is also a member university of the New Silk Road University Alliance and a university recognized by the Ministry of Undergraduate teaching evaluation of universities by the Ministry of Education.
