Avoid malfunctions and improve efficiency! Master the key techniques for maintaining vacuum induction suspension furnaces
Date: 2025-12-19Read: 0
Vacuum Induction Suspension FurnaceIt is a high-D material preparation equipment that integrates vacuum environment, high-frequency induction heating, and crucible free suspension melting technology. It is mainly used for the melting, purification, and solidification research of high-purity, high activity, or high melting point metals and alloys (such as titanium, zirconium, niobium, tantalum, rare earth alloys, high-temperature alloys, etc.). Its biggest feature is to use electromagnetic force to "suspend" the metal sample in a molten state at the center of the coil, avoiding contact with the container, thereby completely eliminating crucible contamination and obtaining high-purity materials.
The equipment mainly consists of a vacuum system (mechanical pump+diffusion pump or molecular pump, with a maximum vacuum of 10 ⁻³ -10 ⁻⁵ Pa), a high-frequency induction power supply (usually with a frequency of 10-500 kHz), a water-cooled copper coil, a suspension control system, a cooling solidification device, and an intelligent operation platform. During operation, the metal sample is placed inside an induction coil and generates eddy currents under the action of an alternating magnetic field, causing self heating and melting; At the same time, the Lorentz force generated by the magnetic field gradient balances with gravity, stabilizing the suspension of the melt. By precisely regulating power, vacuum degree, and cooling rate, special processes such as directional solidification, rapid cooling forming, or single crystal growth can be achieved.
Vacuum Induction Suspension FurnaceMaintenance and upkeep:
1. Daily inspection:
Before each use, conduct a comprehensive inspection of the vacuum induction suspension furnace, including the electrical system, vacuum system, cooling water system, etc., to ensure that all equipment is in good condition.
Check whether the furnace body, cooling water system, intermediate frequency power switch, tilting furnace machinery, and lifting package running track are normal, and whether the trench cover plate is damaged or covered properly.
Check the oil level, quality, and working condition of the vacuum pump to ensure that it can operate normally.
2. Regular cleaning:
Regularly clean the residue inside the furnace, especially the metal vapor deposits on the furnace wall and heating elements, to maintain the cleanliness and heat transfer efficiency of the furnace.
Clean the dust and impurities inside the vacuum pipeline to ensure the normal operation of the vacuum system.
Keep the surface of the furnace clean, free of dust and other impurities, regularly wipe it to prevent debris from affecting equipment heat dissipation and normal operation.
Regularly check whether the observation window is clean and transparent, in order to accurately observe the situation inside the furnace. If there are any problems, clean or replace them in a timely manner.
3. Component replacement:
Check if all seals are intact to prevent air leakage. If seals are found to be aged or damaged, they should be replaced in a timely manner.
Regularly inspect electrical components such as power lines, switches, contactors, etc. to ensure that they are working properly without looseness or damage. If there are any abnormalities, repair or replace them in a timely manner.
Regularly replace the vacuum pump oil, maintain the cleanliness and appropriate oil level of the pump oil, and generally replace it every 3 to 6 months according to the frequency of equipment use and oil quality.
4. Lubrication and maintenance:
Regularly lubricate the moving parts of the equipment to reduce wear and ensure smooth operation. Use appropriate lubricants and lubricate according to the requirements of the equipment operation manual.
5. Vacuum system maintenance:
Regularly check the performance of the vacuum pump to ensure that the vacuum degree meets the process requirements.
Check the sealing performance of the pump to ensure there is no leakage. If aging or damage to the sealing components is found, they should be replaced in a timely manner.
Clean or replace the filter to maintain the efficient operation of the pump and prevent impurities from entering the pump body and affecting its normal operation.
6. Electrical system inspection:
Regularly inspect electrical components to ensure no aging, damage, or other issues, and prevent electrical malfunctions.
Check if the control system is functioning properly, including temperature control, pressure control, and program control, to ensure accurate parameter settings and ensure precise control of the melting process.
Keep the interior of the electrical cabinet dry to prevent short circuits or corrosion caused by moisture, and regularly use desiccants or dehumidification equipment.
7. Security protection:
Strictly follow the operating procedures, wear protective equipment, and prevent safety accidents such as burns and electric shocks.
Regularly inspect the safety protection devices of the equipment to ensure their integrity and effectiveness.
Develop detailed emergency plans, including procedures for handling unexpected events such as equipment failures, fires, leaks, etc., to ensure prompt and effective response in emergency situations.
8. Long term discontinuation management:
If the equipment is not used for a long time, it should be stored in a dry and cool place to avoid affecting the function and use of the vacuum furnace.
Before the next use, a comprehensive inspection and debugging should be conducted to ensure that the equipment can operate normally.
