The sewage ammonia nitrogen detector is an analytical instrument used to determine the ammonia nitrogen content in sewage
Date: 2025-09-03Read: 0
The sewage ammonia nitrogen detector is mainly used to detect the ammonia nitrogen content in sewage, analyze the degree of water pollution through chemical or optical methods, and is widely used in municipal sewage treatment, industrial wastewater monitoring, environmental water quality assessment and other scenarios. It is a key equipment for controlling eutrophication of water bodies and evaluating the degree of water pollution.
The detection principle of the sewage ammonia nitrogen detector is based on chemical color reaction, which converts ammonia nitrogen in sewage into quantifiable colored compounds, and then determines their concentration through optical methods.
Technical features
Portable operation: The 8-inch color screen supports a bilingual interface and comes with built-in instructional videos for beginners to quickly get started. ‌
Data management: It can store 20000 sets of experimental data and supports USB and wireless transmission to a computer for subsequent analysis.
Anti interference capability:
It needs to have turbidity compensation and residual chlorine shielding functions (such as adding sodium thiosulfate to eliminate residual chlorine interference); High concentration COD and heavy metal wastewater require a "distillation pretreatment module".
Precautions for use
Reagent storage: Nessler's reagent contains mercury and needs to be stored away from light and sealed. Expired reagents can cause deviation in test results; Salicylic acid reagent needs to be prepared and used on site.
Sample pretreatment: Turbidity wastewater needs to be filtered first (using a 0.45 μ m filter membrane), residual chlorine wastewater needs to be treated with sodium thiosulfate to eliminate interference, and high concentration samples need to be diluted to within the measurement range of the instrument.
Instrument calibration: Standard solutions (such as 0.5mg/L and 10mg/L ammonia nitrogen standard solutions) need to be used for calibration before each use. Online instruments require weekly single point calibration and monthly multi-point calibration.
Waste liquid treatment: The waste liquid (containing mercury and color reagents) after testing needs to be collected centrally and handed over to qualified units for treatment. It cannot be directly discharged.
