Functions and parameters of LIDAR reflectance analyzer
Date: 2025-07-18Read: 2
  LIDAR Reflectance Measuring InstrumentIt is a portable device specifically designed to measure the reflectivity of materials at LIDAR wavelengths. It calculates the reflectivity of a material by emitting a laser beam of a specific wavelength and receiving the reflected light signal. This device has a wide range of applications in the field of LIDAR technology, such as on-site calibration and validation of LIDAR target boards, testing the reflectivity of other types of reflective boards at LIDAR wavelengths, and internal calibration and reporting within enterprises at LIDAR wavelengths.
  LIDAR Reflectance TesterThe core functions include:
1. Accurately measure the reflectance values of different objects (such as surface vegetation, building materials, atmospheric particles, water bodies, etc.) at specific laser wavelengths (such as 905nm, 1550nm, corresponding to commonly used LIDAR bands);
2. Provide standard reference for the calibration of LIDAR system;
3. Assist in analyzing the attributes of targets in LIDAR data.
Technical Specifications:
1. Laser wavelength: It needs to be matched with the wavelength of the target LIDAR system, otherwise the reflectivity measurement results have no reference value.
2. Measurement range: The measurable range of reflectivity, with an accuracy of ± 1% to ± 5% (depending on the application scenario requirements).
3. Incident angle adaptability: The reflectivity of an object's surface may vary with the laser incident angle (such as the difference between specular reflection and diffuse reflection), and advanced measuring instruments can simulate reflectivity at different incident angles (0 °~90 °).
4. Spot size and distance: the diameter of the laser spot irradiated onto the surface of the object (affecting the spatial resolution of the measurement) and the effective measurement distance.
5. Environmental adaptability: Some equipment needs to be used in the wild and must have anti-interference ability.
