1、 Preparation before operation: Establish a solid foundation of safety and accuracy
1. Equipment inspection: First observeSilicon carbide microchannel reactorCheck for any damage or corrosion marks on the main body, inlet and outlet pipelines, and seals. Pay particular attention to the integrity of the seal at the microchannel interface to prevent leakage during the reaction process. Subsequently, check the supporting auxiliary equipment such as feed pumps, heat exchangers, pressure gauges, thermometers, etc., to ensure that each component is securely connected and the instrument display is normal.
2. Cleaning treatment: If the reactor is being used for the first time or has not been used for a period of time, it is necessary to rinse the microchannel with an appropriate solvent (selected according to the characteristics of the subsequent reaction materials, such as ethanol, deionized water, etc.) to remove residual impurities, dust, or previous reaction residues in the channel. After flushing, purge the channel with nitrogen to ensure that it is dry and free of liquid accumulation.
3. Material and parameter confirmation: Prepare the necessary raw materials for the reaction, ensure that the purity and concentration of the raw materials meet the process requirements, and filter and remove solid particles from the raw materials in advance to prevent blockage of microchannels. At the same time, according to the requirements of the reaction process, preset key parameter ranges such as feed pump flow rate, heat exchanger temperature, and reaction pressure.
4. Safety assurance: Check whether the safety valves and explosion-proof devices of the reaction system are in normal condition, equip the operation area with emergency protective equipment (such as protective goggles, corrosion-resistant gloves, eye washers, etc.), ensure good ventilation, and avoid the accumulation of flammable and toxic materials.
2、 Core operational process: Standardized execution to ensure stable response
1. System preheating and inert purging: Turn on the heat exchanger and gradually increase the reactor temperature to the preset value according to the process requirements. The heating rate should be controlled at 5-10 ℃/min to avoid damage to the silicon carbide material caused by sudden temperature rise. Simultaneously open the nitrogen cylinder, introduce nitrogen into the microchannel through the inlet, blow for 3-5 minutes, and exhaust the air in the channel to prevent adverse reactions between the air and the reactants. During the blow, observe the pressure gauge to ensure stable system pressure.
2. Feed start-up and flow regulation: After the reactor temperature reaches the preset value and nitrogen purging is completed, start the feed pump and slowly transport the solvent to the reactor. Confirm that the solvent flows smoothly in the microchannel and that there are no abnormal fluctuations in inlet and outlet pressure (pressure deviation generally does not exceed ± 0.1MPa). Then switch to the reaction raw material feed and gradually adjust the feed pump according to the preset flow rate to avoid pressure shock in the channel caused by sudden changes in flow rate.
3. Reaction process monitoring: After the feed is stable, real-time monitoring of the temperature and pressure data at the inlet and outlet of the reactor is carried out to ensure that the temperature remains within the preset range (fluctuation does not exceed ± 2 ℃) and the pressure does not exceed 80% of the rated pressure of the equipment. At the same time, observe the appearance and flow rate changes of the reaction products. If equipped with online detection equipment, the concentration of the products can be monitored in real time, and parameters such as feed flow rate and temperature can be adjusted in a timely manner to optimize the reaction effect.
4. Product collection: Connect a suitable collection container at the outlet of the reactor to ensure that the collection container is clean, dry, and compatible with the product. Collect products at regular intervals according to the reaction progress, keep sampling records, label the collection time, corresponding operating parameters, and other information for subsequent data analysis.
3、 Post operation processing: Extend equipment lifespan and ensure safety
1. Stop feeding and system flushing: After the reaction is complete, first turn off the raw material feeding pump, switch to solvent feeding, and continue to transport solvent to flush the microchannel for 10-15 minutes, thoroughly removing the residual reaction materials in the channel to prevent material residue from solidifying and blocking the channel or corroding the equipment. For materials that are prone to crystallization, the temperature of the rinsing solvent can be appropriately increased to enhance the rinsing effect.
2. Cooling and pressure relief: After flushing, turn off the heat exchanger and let the reactor cool naturally to room temperature. It is strictly prohibited to directly spray water for cooling. At the same time, slowly open the pressure relief valve to reduce the system pressure to atmospheric pressure, and control the pressure relief rate at 0.05-0.1MPa/min to avoid equipment damage caused by sudden pressure drops.
3. Equipment maintenance and recording: Wipe the reactor body and pipelines with a clean cloth, and reset auxiliary equipment such as feed pumps and pressure gauges. Check the wear of the seals, and replace them promptly if they are aged or damaged. Finally, fill in the operation record, detailing the reaction time, parameters, product situation, and equipment operation status, providing a basis for subsequent maintenance.
