What are the key indicators when choosing explosion-proof pulse valves?
Date: 2025-10-09Read: 12
  Explosion proof pulse valveIt is an electromagnetic control valve designed specifically for explosive environments, which uses electromagnetic force to drive the diaphragm to achieve rapid on/off of the medium.
In the selection processExplosion proof pulse valveAttention should be paid to the following parameters to ensure compatibility with the dust removal system and avoid "large valve for small use" or "small valve overload":
Explosion proof level: a core safety indicator that meets the explosion hazard level of the operating environment and relevant standards.
Working pressure range: It needs to be matched with the compressed air pressure of the system, with a conventional range of 0.4-0.8MPa. Low pressure can lead to insufficient blowing force and uncleanliness of dust; Excessive pressure can accelerate the wear of filter bags.
Diameter (DN): Corresponding to the diameter of the spray pipe, it needs to be calculated based on the number and length of filter bags. Common specifications: DN15, DN20, DN25, DN32.
Response time: Refers to the time from receiving the signal to the valve being fully opened, usually 0.03-0.1 seconds for electromagnetic type and 0.05-0.2 seconds for pneumatic type. In scenarios where the cleaning frequency is high (such as ≥ 5 times/minute) or the filter bag is prone to clogging, a valve with faster response should be selected.
Media compatibility: Ensure that the valve body material, seals, and compressed air and dust components are compatible, avoiding corrosion or aging:
Ordinary dust (such as flour, feed): Aluminum alloy/carbon steel is selected for the valve body, and nitrile rubber (NBR) is selected for the seal;
Corrosive environment (such as chemical and acid washing): 304/316 stainless steel is selected for the valve body, and FKM is selected for the sealing element;
High temperature environment (such as metallurgy and drying): Silicone rubber (VMQ) or perfluoroether rubber (FFKM) should be selected for sealing components, with a suitable temperature of ≤ 200 ℃.
Service life: Measured by the number of actions, high-quality solenoid valves have a service life of ≥ 1 million times and pneumatic valves have a service life of ≥ 2 million times. It is necessary to estimate based on production cycle and cleaning frequency to avoid frequent replacement.
