NB/SH/T0230-2019 Determination of Composition of Liquefied Petroleum Gas

The new standard "NB/SH/T-2019" replaces the original standard "SH/T0230-1992 Liquefied Petroleum Gas Composition Determination Method (Chromatography Method)". The main changes between the two are as follows:

——The scope of application has been expanded, and the old standard is only applicable to the determination of the composition of liquefied petroleum gas containing pure hydrocarbons C1~C5. The new standard is not only applicable to pure hydrocarbon liquefied petroleum gas, but also to the composition determination of hydrocarbons and oxygen-containing compounds in liquefied petroleum gas containing oxygen-containing compounds (such as dimethyl ether, etc.).

——- Changed the sample injection mode. The new standard uses commercial liquid valves or flash evaporators instead of the water bath vaporization injection mode used in the old standard.

——Using a single column, single valve, and single detector system with Al2O3 capillary chromatography column and hydrogen flame ionization detector to replace the analysis system in the old standard for detecting C1~C5 hydrocarbon components in liquefied petroleum gas

——- Added a system for analyzing the composition of liquefied petroleum gas containing oxygen-containing compounds, using a dual valve, dual column, dual detector chromatographic analysis system to complete the full analysis of oxygen-containing compounds such as dimethyl ether, methyl tert butyl ether, methanol, acetone, and C1~C5 hydrocarbon components in liquefied petroleum gas through a single injection.
