How to quickly use a chlorophyll analyzer for testing?
Date: 2017-09-25Read: 0

To quickly use a chlorophyll analyzer for testing, it is necessary to understand the usage of the instrument and what chlorophyll is. Chlorophyll is a type of chlorophyll thatphotosynthesisThe most important thing aboutpigmentChlorophyll actually exists in everything that can be createdphotosynthesisoforganismchlorophyllAbsorb energy from light, and then use the energy tocarbon dioxidetransform intocarbohydrate. And the instrument uses the working principle of chlorophyll to perform corresponding detection,This can help you understand the true nitrate demand of plants and help you understand the degree of soil nitrate deficiency or whether excessive nitrogen fertilizer has been applied.

Working principle of chlorophyll analyzer

1. Two LED light sources emit two types of light, one is red light (peak wavelength 650nm) and the other is infrared light (940nm). The two types of light penetrate the blades and hit the receiver. The light signal is converted into an analog signal, which is amplified by an amplifier and converted into a digital signal by an analog/digital converter. The digital signal is processed by a microprocessor to calculate the SPAD value and displayed on the screen.

2. Calibration and calculation of chlorophyll analyzer measurement values

During the calibration process, the pressure head does not clamp the sample, and two LEDs emit light in sequence. The received light is converted into an electrical signal, and the ratio of light intensity is used to calculate.

After clamping the sample with the pressure head, the two LEDs emit light again, and the light transmitted through the blades hits the receiver, which is converted into an electrical signal. The intensity ratio of the transmitted light is calculated.

The values of steps 1 and 2 are used to calculate the SPAD measurement value, which represents the current relative chlorophyll content of the clamped sample leaves.

The chlorophyll analyzer can instantly measure the relative chlorophyll content (SPAD) or greenness level, leaf temperature of plants, thereby understanding the true nitrate demand of plants and the degree of soil nitrate deficiency or whether excessive nitrogen fertilizer has been applied. This instrument can increase the utilization rate of nitrogen fertilizer and protect the environment. It can be widely applied in agricultural and forestry related research institutions and universities to study plant physiological indicators and provide guidance for agricultural production.
