Technical principle: The precise way of laminar pressure difference
Gas flow measurement plays a key role in industrial process control, laboratory research, environmental monitoring, and medical equipment. Faced with the problems of long preheating time and high environmental impact of traditional thermal flow meters, Shaanxi Yidu Intelligent Technology has chosen a technical path based on laminar pressure difference principle.
The core of laminar pressure difference technology lies in a precise design of laminar flow components. When gas flows through this component, it is forced into a state called "laminar flow" - gas molecules flow in parallel and orderly layers like well-trained soldiers, with almost no turbulence or mixing.
In this state, a precise proportional relationship is formed between the viscous frictional force generated inside the gas and the flow velocity. According to the Hagen Poiseuille law, there is a simple and precise linear proportional relationship between the pressure difference generated at both ends of the laminar flow element and the volumetric flow rate of the gas flowing through it.
By measuring this pressure difference, the flow meter can directly calculate the volumetric flow rate of the gas. More importantly, by combining real-time measurement of gas temperature and pressure data, the internal microprocessor of the system can automatically convert volumetric flow into more practical mass flow output, completing a critical leap from basic physical phenomena to engineering applications.

The core advantage of laminar pressure differential mass flowmeter is that it simplifies complex flow measurement into direct physical relationships. The choice of this technological route has enabled it to surpass traditional thermal flow meters in multiple dimensions.
Measurement accuracy and repeatability are the primary advantages of Yidu products. Based on the natural linear relationship between pressure difference and volumetric flow rate under laminar flow conditions, its accuracy reaches ± 0.5% reading level, and its repeatability is as high as ± 0.1% F.S. The extremely low pressure loss characteristic is also an important highlight. The laminar flow element has a compact structure and smooth flow channel. When gas passes through, it mainly overcomes viscous resistance rather than severe kinetic energy loss. Therefore, the pressure loss caused to the pipeline system is very small, significantly reducing the energy consumption demand for gas transportation.
Unlike thermal flow meters that require prolonged preheating, Yidu's laminar pressure differential products enable immediate use without the need for preheating waiting time, saving valuable time and gas resources for researchers.

The original intention of this product design is to provide high-precision, high repeatability, and easy-to-use flow control solutions for laboratories in universities and research institutions.
The SC100 controller is also based on the principle of laminar pressure difference, but adds precise flow control function. The set value accuracy is as high as ± 1.0%, with a repeatability of ± 0.2% F.S., compatible with over 70 gases and editable mixed gases.
The controller has an intuitive touch screen operation interface, and researchers do not need to connect computers or external PLC devices. They can directly complete operations such as setting flow rates, switching gas media, adjusting mixed gas ratios through the touch screen, and view real-time changes in multiple parameters such as temperature, pressure, volume flow rate, mass flow rate, and cumulative flow rate.
In terms of environmental adaptability, SC100 maintains high standards consistent with flowmeter products: working flow range of 1%~120% F.S., medium temperature of -20 ℃~60 ℃, ambient temperature of -20 ℃~50 ℃, and operating humidity of 0%~98% (non condensing).

With the transformation of China's manufacturing industry, flow meters made of SUS316L stainless steel are undergoing final testing on the production line of Shaanxi Yidu.
