Piezoelectric triaxial force measuring instrument can achieve real-time mechanical measurement
Date: 2025-10-17Read: 0
With the continuous development of modern engineering technology and scientific experiments, the field of mechanical measurement has put forward higher requirements for high-precision and high-sensitivity measurement tools. The piezoelectric triaxial force gauge, as an instrument capable of measuring force in three directions simultaneously, has been widely used in various fields, including structural health monitoring, robot control, aerospace, automotive industry, etc.
  Piezoelectric triaxial force gaugeThe structure:
1. Piezoelectric sensor
Piezoelectric sensors are the core components of force measuring instruments, typically composed of multiple piezoelectric crystals, each used to measure force in one direction. In order to measure in three directions, the layout of sensors usually adopts a three-axis structure, where an independent piezoelectric sensor is installed in each axis direction. These sensors are capable of sensing forces along the X, Y, and Z axes and converting them into electrical signals.
2. Mechanical structure
The mechanical structure is the supporting part of the force measuring instrument, which bears the transmission and distribution of external forces. Piezoelectric sensors are typically embedded in critical positions of the structure to ensure accurate sensing of forces from different directions. The design of mechanical structures needs to consider the installation method of sensors, the way external forces act, and their impact on sensor output signals.
3. Signal acquisition system
The signal acquisition system is responsible for obtaining charge signals from piezoelectric sensors and converting them into processable digital signals. Due to the fact that the electrical signal output by piezoelectric sensors is usually very weak, a high-sensitivity preamplifier is required to amplify the signal.
4. Signal processing system
The signal processing system amplifies, filters, and decodes the collected signals to ensure accurate and reliable output force values. In a triaxial force gauge, the signal processing system needs to combine sensor data from various directions and calculate the force components in the three directions through mathematical models or algorithms.
Characteristics of piezoelectric triaxial force measuring instrument:
1. High sensitivity and high precision
Due to the ability of piezoelectric sensors to sense small changes in charge, they require high sensitivity and accuracy to accurately measure changes in small forces.
2. Strong real-time performance
Real time mechanical measurement can be achieved, and it can quickly respond to changes in external forces. This makes it advantageous in some application scenarios that require fast feedback and real-time control.
3. Small size and light weight
Compared to traditional mechanical measurement equipment, it usually has a smaller volume and lighter weight, making it easy to carry and install, especially suitable for applications with limited space.
4. Contactless measurement
Piezoelectric sensors can measure force through non-contact methods, which means that there is no need to directly contact the measured object during the measurement process, thus avoiding errors caused by contact.
