Clean type safety valves are widely used in high cleanliness fields such as pharmaceuticals and food. The common faults and troubleshooting methods are as follows:
Leakage issue
Reason: There are dirt, damage to the sealing surface, bent or tilted valve stem, etc. between the valve disc and the valve seat sealing surface.
Exclusion method:
When the stolen goods cause leakage, the valve can be opened multiple times with a lifting wrench to flush away the stolen goods.
When the sealing surface is damaged, it should be repaired by grinding or turning after grinding according to the degree of damage to ensure that the surface roughness meets the standard.
When the valve stem is bent or tilted, it needs to be reassembled or replaced.
Do not open or close when reaching the specified pressure
Reason: Equipment positioning is inaccurate, such as improper adjustment of spring compression or weight position.
Exclusion method: Adjust the compression amount of the spring or the position of the heavy hammer again to ensure that the valve opens and closes accurately under the specified pressure.
The pressure continues to rise after exhaust
Reason: The emissions did not reach the safe discharge capacity of the equipment, or the valve stem centerline was not aligned and the spring rusted, resulting in the valve disc not being opened to the appropriate height.
Exclusion method: Select a clean safety valve with appropriate displacement, reassemble the valve stem or replace the spring.
Valve disc frequency jump or vibration
Reason: The spring is too rigid, or the adjustment ring is not adjusted properly, or the discharge pipe resistance is too high.
Exclusion method: Use a spring with appropriate stiffness, readjust the position of the adjustment ring, and reduce the resistance of the discharge pipeline.
Do not return to seat after emission
Reason: The spring is bent, or the installation position of the valve stem and disc is not correct or stuck.
Exclusion method: Reinstall the spring, valve stem, and valve disc to ensure correct installation position and no jamming.
