Rotork electric actuatorBoth electric and manual bidirectional control of the valve can be achieved, and the operation must follow the standard process to ensure stable operation of the equipment. The following are the core operating steps and precautions Rotork:
1、 Preparation before operation
Confirm that the power supply of the actuator is normal and there is no risk of voltage instability or power outage;
Check the manual/automatic selection handle status to ensure it is not locked in the manual position;
Observe the LCD display and indicator lights to confirm that there are no fault alarm prompts.
2、 On site electric operation
1. Electric valve opening
Rotate the red knob of the actuator to align the valve opening mark on the knob with the "▲" mark on the housing;
Rotate the black knob clockwise to align the valve opening command mark with the "▲" mark on the housing, and start the electric valve opening;
During the valve opening process, the LCD display will show the percentage of valve opening in real time, and the red indicator light will light up when fully opened;
If you need to stop halfway, align the "STOP" mark on the red knob with the "▲" mark, and the actuator will stop moving. At this time, the yellow indicator light will light up and display the current opening degree.
2. Electric valve closing
Keep the command mark on the red knob aligned with the "▲" symbol on the housing;
Rotate the black knob counterclockwise, align the valve closing instruction mark with the "▲" symbol, and start the electric valve closing;
During the valve closing process, the monitor synchronously displays the opening degree, and the green indicator light lights up when fully closed;
Stop the operation midway and switch the red knob to the "STOP" position, which is consistent with opening the valve.
3、 On site manual operation
1. Manually open the valve
Press down the manual/automatic selector lever to place it in the STOP position;
Rotate the handwheel to engage the clutch, release the selector lever, and turn the handwheel counterclockwise until the valve position indicator arrow points to the "OPEN" mark;
If there are no faults in the power supply and self-control system, the valve position status can be checked synchronously through the LCD display.
2. Manually close the valve
Similarly, switch the selector lever to the STOP position and engage the clutch;
Rotate the handwheel clockwise until the valve position indicator arrow points to the "Close" mark, completing the manual valve closure.
4、 Operation precautions
When switching between electric and manual modes, it is necessary to confirm that the clutch is fully engaged or disengaged to avoid jamming;
If there is an over torque alarm during the operation, the action should be stopped immediately to check for valve jamming or excessive pressure difference;
It is not recommended to frequently switch operating modes in non emergency situations to prevent wear and tear of transmission components.
