Its core component is the isothermal temperature measurement block, consisting of a bottom layer and a measurement layer: the bottom layer maintains a constant temperature through Peltier elements, while the measurement layer records changes in the power of the electric heater, accurately calculating the heat generated or absorbed by the battery. Instruments are usually equipped with reference batteries, which compare the thermal effects of the test battery and the reference battery to eliminate external interference and ensure measurement accuracy.

1. Calibrate temperature sensor
Core maintenance item: Regularly (recommended every 6-12 months) use certified standard thermometers (such as platinum resistance thermometers) to perform on-site comparison and calibration of the reference temperature sensor and sample temperature sensor inside the calorimeter.
Purpose: To ensure the absolute accuracy of temperature measurement, which is the basis of heat calculation.
2. Check the cooling/heating system
Circulating cooler (external or internal):
Check the coolant level and color, and replace if there is turbidity or sediment.
Check if the pressure and flow rate of the circulation pump are normal.
Clean the cooling fins of the cooler to prevent dust accumulation from affecting the heat dissipation efficiency.
Compressor system (such as direct refrigeration): Listen to the operating sound for normal operation and any abnormal vibrations.
3. Maintain gas system
Leak detection: Regularly use soap water or specialized leak detectors to conduct comprehensive leak detection on all gas pipelines, joints, valves, and pressure gauges, especially the inert gas inlet and exhaust ports.
Filter replacement: If a particulate filter or dehumidifier filter is installed in the gas pipeline, it needs to be replaced periodically.
Check the pressure reducing valve: Ensure stable output pressure.
4. Clean the fan and ventilation openings
Use a vacuum cleaner or soft bristled brush to remove dust from the external and internal fans of the device, ensuring air circulation and heat dissipation.
5. Verify thermal balance performance
Place a standard heat source (such as a known power resistance heater) into the chamber, run the calorimeter program, and verify whether the deviation between the measured heat value and the theoretical value is within the allowable range. This is a comprehensive verification of the overall performance of the machine.
