X-ray tomography microscope is mainly used for non-destructive 3D imaging analysis

X-ray tomography microscopy is mainly used for non-destructive 3D imaging analysis. By penetrating the sample with X-rays and recording projection images from different angles, high-resolution 3D images are generated. The core principle is to utilize the absorption differences of X-rays on different materials, combined with multi angle scanning and mathematical reconstruction algorithms, to achieve visualization of internal structures.
X-ray tomography microscope or X-ray 3D microscope is a non-destructive 3D imaging device that combines X-ray imaging and computed tomography (CT) technology. It reconstructs the internal structure of samples through multi angle X-ray projection data, achieving three-dimensional imaging with nanometer to micrometer resolution, and is widely used in fields such as materials science, earth science, life science, and industrial testing.
Core Features
Non destructive 3D imaging: It can obtain internal structural information without cutting or damaging the sample, and is suitable for the analysis of irreversible samples such as precious fossils and electronic devices.
High resolution and high contrast: The spatial resolution can reach 500 nanometers (nm), or even higher (such as 40nm voxels), which can clearly distinguish microstructural details.
By using absorption contrast and phase contrast imaging techniques, the imaging capability of low atomic number materials such as soft tissues and polymers can be improved.
Large sample compatibility: Supports imaging of samples ranging from millimeters to centimeters in size, with a load-bearing capacity of up to 25kg, suitable for large volume samples such as rocks and biological tissues.
In situ imaging capability: It can be equipped with mechanical, temperature and other in-situ auxiliary devices to observe the structural changes of the sample in real time during stretching, compression or heating/cooling processes (such as electronic packaging failure analysis).
Multi scale imaging: The same device can achieve multi-scale imaging from macro to micro, spanning a wide magnification range.
This technology has become an important tool in fields such as micro nano manufacturing and material research and development, especially in scenarios that require non-destructive analysis.
