Laser dust detector is a portable or online instrument that accurately measures the concentration of dust in the air using the principle of laser scattering. It is a portable device based on the principle of light scattering, used to quickly determine the concentration of particulate matter such as PM2.5, PM10, TSP, etc. It is widely used in environmental monitoring, industrial and mining enterprises, and public places. Using laser as the light source and the principle of light scattering, the dust concentration is calculated by measuring the scattered light intensity of dust particles in the air towards the laser.
The laser dust detector is mainly based on the principle of light scattering. When laser is irradiated onto suspended particles in the air, scattered light is generated. Under certain conditions of particle properties, the scattered light intensity of particles is proportional to their mass concentration. By measuring the scattered light intensity and applying the mass concentration conversion coefficient value, the mass concentration of particles can be obtained.
Portability and ease of use
Compact size: The device is compact in size and lightweight, with some models measuring 192 × 69 × 140mm and weighing only 1300g or 1.4Kg, making it easy to carry and operate on site.
Easy to operate: The operation is simple and easy to understand, and users can quickly get started without professional training.
AC/DC dual-use: The power supply adopts an AC/DC dual-use design, equipped with rechargeable batteries and chargers, which can be used continuously for several hours, meeting the long-term monitoring needs on site.
Operation steps
Calibration mode: Enter the calibration menu, check the flow rate (such as 2.83L/min) and time, but calibration can be skipped for daily use.
Measurement settings:
Select the 'General Measurement' mode and set the sampling time (usually 1-5 minutes).
Turn the knob to measurement mode, confirm and start sampling.
Data recording:
Record real-time concentration, return to the main interface to save data, turn off the device after resetting the knob.
Precautions
Maintenance: Regularly clean the optical window with alcohol and calibrate the flow rate monthly.
Fault handling: If the data is abnormal, check whether the filter membrane is blocked or the battery level.
Safety: Avoid severe vibrations and dehumidify in high humidity environments.
