The principle and application of semi-automatic amino acid analyzer: providing reliable tools for amino acid research
Date: 2025-12-23Read: 0
Amino acids are important organic compounds in living organisms, widely involved in various physiological processes such as protein synthesis and metabolic regulation. As an important analytical tool, the semi-automatic amino acid analyzer provides efficient and accurate technical support for the study of amino acids.
working principle
Mainly based on high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) technology. The core principle is to use cation exchange resin chromatography columns to separate amino acids. During the analysis process, the amino acids in the sample are first pushed through the chromatographic column containing cation exchange resin by the mobile phase (buffer solution). Due to the different chemical properties of different amino acids, their binding ability with resins also varies, so they will be separated into different components when passing through chromatography columns. The separated amino acid components react with indene ketone reagent to produce purple or yellow compounds. These compounds have characteristic absorption at specific wavelengths (such as 570 nm, 440 nm), and their absorbance is detected by a visible light detector. According to Lambert Beer's law, qualitative and quantitative analysis of amino acids can be achieved.
Application field
The semi-automatic amino acid analyzer has wide application value in multiple fields. In the field of food science, it can be used to detect the composition and content of amino acids in food, helping to evaluate the nutritional value of food. For example, when analyzing the amino acid content in tea, this instrument can accurately determine the content of key components such as theanine, providing scientific basis for the evaluation of tea quality. In the field of medicine, semi-automatic amino acid analyzer can be used to analyze the amino acid components in biological products and pharmaceutical preparations, evaluate their purity and quality. In addition, it is also applied in agricultural research to analyze the amino acid content in crops and evaluate the impact of fertilizers on crop quality.
The semi-automatic amino acid analyzer provides strong support for amino acid research with its reliable analysis principle and wide application range. It can not only meet the precise analysis needs of researchers for amino acids, but also provide important data support for product quality control in industries such as food and medicine.
