What are the working principles of medical oxygen concentrators?
Date: 2025-07-31Read: 1
Medical oxygen concentratorIt is a medical equipment that uses technologies such as pressure swing adsorption to extract oxygen from the air, providing high-purity and stable oxygen supply for medical institutions and households.
The device adopts a surrounding air duct design internally, which can efficiently dissipate heat and ensure stable operation of the equipment. Low noise, night use does not affect sleep. Through multi-layer filtration, impurities in the gas can be efficiently filtered, allowing users to inhale oxygen more cleanly.
  Medical oxygen concentratorWorking principle:
1. Molecular sieve principle: utilizing physical adsorption and desorption techniques of molecular sieves. The air compressor provides high-pressure air, which passes through a molecular sieve adsorption tower. Nitrogen is adsorbed by the molecular sieve, while oxygen passes through the adsorption tower and is stored in a storage tank. The output is controlled by a flow meter, and the purity is monitored by an oxygen analyzer to obtain oxygen that meets medical standards.
2. Principle of Polymer Oxygen Enrichment Membrane: Utilizing the different permeability of polymer membranes for oxygen and nitrogen. The air compressor provides high-pressure air, which passes through a polymer rich oxygen membrane. Oxygen is enriched on the other side of the membrane, while nitrogen is discharged. After being stored in a storage tank, a flow meter, and an oxygen analyzer, it outputs oxygen that meets the standard.
3. Principle of Electrolysis of Water: Using electrolysis technology to decompose water into hydrogen and oxygen. Water is introduced into the electrolytic cell, and through electrolysis, hydrogen and oxygen are collected separately by the separator. Oxygen is stored in a storage tank, controlled by a flow meter, and monitored by an oxygen analyzer before being used.
