Zero level air generatorAs a key auxiliary equipment for precision instruments such as gas chromatography, the purity of the output air directly affects the accuracy of the detection results. Standardized maintenance can extend equipment lifespan and ensure operational stability. The core points are as follows:
1、 Daily basic maintenance (daily/after each use)
Appearance and condition inspection: Before use, confirm that the host casing is not damaged, the pipeline connections are firm and not loose, and the pressure gauge and flow meter pointers are reset to zero or displayed normally. After use, turn off the power, wipe off the dust on the surface of the device, clean the debris around the device, and maintain ventilation and heat dissipation space.
Drainage operation: Open the drain valve at the bottom of the equipment or filter to drain the condensed water (especially in high humidity environments, it is recommended to drain after each use), to avoid residual moisture causing pipeline corrosion or filter failure. After drainage, be sure to close the valve tightly to prevent air leakage.
Pressure and flow verification: After starting, observe whether the outlet pressure is stable within the rated range (usually 0.4-0.6MPa), and whether the flow display matches the demand. If there is a sudden increase/decrease in pressure, flow fluctuation, or other abnormalities, stop the machine immediately for inspection.
2、 Regular maintenance of core components (based on usage frequency/instruction manual cycle)
Filter replacement: This is the core step of maintenance. ① Pre filter (primary/medium efficiency): Replace every 1-3 months. If there is a lot of dust in the environment, the cycle can be shortened to prevent impurities from entering the subsequent purification unit; ② Activated carbon filter cartridge: Replace every 3-6 months. When the ability to adsorb organic impurities decreases, it may cause the export air to exceed the limit of hydrocarbons, and regular purity testing is required; ③ Molecular sieve/deoxygenation column: Replace or regenerate every 6-12 months (refer to the instruction manual for details). Failure may result in incomplete removal of oxygen and moisture, affecting detection accuracy.
Pump body maintenance: If it is an oil-free air compressor model, check the heat dissipation of the pump body every month to avoid prolonged high-temperature operation; If it is an oily model, check the oil level every 6 months. If it is below the scale line, add specialized oil of the same model. Replace the oil and oil filter once a year.
Pipeline cleaning: Blow the intake pipeline with compressed air every 6 months to remove internal dust accumulation; If oil stains or corrosion marks are found on the inner wall of the pipeline, it should be rinsed with a special cleaning agent and dried before use to avoid cross contamination.
3、 Special case maintenance (after malfunction/long-term shutdown)
Maintenance after malfunction: In case of purity failure, abnormal pressure, abnormal noise and other malfunctions, stop the machine and cut off the power to check whether it is due to filter blockage, pipeline leakage or pump body failure. Do not disassemble the core purification unit by yourself. Contact professional personnel for maintenance. After maintenance, check the purity of the outlet air (such as hydrocarbons ≤ 0.1ppm, oxygen ≤ 0.1ppm) before reusing.
Long term shutdown maintenance: When the shutdown exceeds one month, first empty the residual air in the equipment, close the intake valve, remove the filter element and seal it for storage (to prevent moisture), disconnect the power supply, cover the host with a dust cover, and store it in a dry and ventilated environment. Before restarting, replace the new filter element and test run for 30 minutes.
4、 Maintain taboos and precautions
ProhibitZero level air generatorOperate the equipment in a state of no filter or filter failure to prevent impurities from damaging the purification column and subsequent precision instruments.
When replacing the filter element, it is necessary to cut off the power and ensure that the pressure is completely released before disassembling the pipeline to prevent high-pressure air from spraying and injuring people.
Establish a maintenance ledger to record the time and results of each filter element change, oil change, and purity testing for easy traceability.
Avoid operating equipment in high temperature (>40 ℃), high humidity (relative humidity>85%), or dusty environments, and equip protective devices if necessary.
