1. Before testing, a comprehensive inspection of the equipment and facilities is required. The body and connecting pipelines should have no visible cracks, corrosion or deformation, and the flanges, threaded joints and seals should be intact and securely fastened to prevent medium leakage during the testing process. All valves, safety valves, and pressure gauges must be calibrated and within their validity period, with flexible operation and accurate indication. The testing medium is mostly flammable, explosive, or toxic hydrocarbon compounds. Its type, concentration, and physical properties should be checked to ensure that the testing plan matches the characteristics of the medium. The testing area should be well ventilated, and if necessary, forced exhaust should be installed to prevent the accumulation of flammable or toxic gases. On site, open flames, high-temperature surfaces, and equipment that may generate sparks should be removed. Electrical installations must meet explosion-proof requirements, and power connections must be treated with leakage and static electricity protection.
2. The isolation and evacuation measures of the testing system must be reliable. Inert gas or clean air should be used as the replacement medium. Blind plates, plugs, and other isolation components should be securely installed and labeled to prevent accidental operation and connection of the operating system.
3. Pressure testing and performance testing require strict control of the pressure rise rate and high pressure. Boosting should be carried out in stages, with each stage stabilizing and observing pressure changes and equipment status. If leaks or abnormalities are found, they should be immediately depressurized and investigated. The set pressure of the safety valve should be higher than the test pressure and in a usable state, and the overpressure protection circuit must be independent of the control system. When using liquid media for pressure testing, precautions should be taken to prevent the liquid from evaporating due to heat and causing a sudden increase in pressure; When using gas media, the flow rate should be controlled to avoid static electricity accumulation, and static conductivity facilities should be installed in the pipeline. During the testing process, personnel are not allowed to stand in the direction of blockage, welding, or potential spraying, and are not allowed to disassemble or tighten connectors under pressure.

4. Testing involving high or low temperature media should evaluate the impact of thermal stress on equipment and personnel. The heating or cooling process should be carried out slowly to prevent material damage or seal failure caused by excessive temperature difference. Operators should wear appropriate protective equipment, including insulated gloves, face shields, and anti-static clothing, to avoid contact with high-temperature surfaces or low-temperature frostbite. For toxic media, operations should be carried out in the upwind direction, and qualified respiratory protection and gas detection instruments should be equipped to monitor the environmental concentration in real time. Once it exceeds the standard, evacuate immediately and activate emergency ventilation.
5. Emergency preparedness at the testing site is crucial. Firefighting equipment, emergency response tools for leaks, and medical supplies should be equipped, and emergency contact and evacuation routes should be clearly defined. Operators must receive specialized safety training, familiarize themselves with medium hazards, equipment characteristics, and emergency response procedures. During the testing period, a dedicated person should be assigned to supervise and prohibit unrelated personnel from entering the site. In case of leakage, odor, abnormal noise or abnormal pressure, the test should be stopped immediately, and the pressure should be reduced, isolated, ventilated and disposed of according to the plan.
6. The handling after the test is equally important. The pressure should be slowly released to atmospheric pressure, residual liquid and gas should be emptied, and the interior should be cleaned or inerted to prevent residual substances from causing danger in subsequent operations. Before disassembling the blind plate or restoring the connection, confirm again that the system has been fully depressurized and cleaned. All test data, equipment status, and abnormal situations should be recorded and archived in detail to provide a basis for subsequent evaluation and retesting.
