The 4th Nordas Animal Behavior Research Award is officially presented

The 6th Annual Conference and Series of Academic Conferences hosted by the Animal Behavior Branch of the Chinese Zoological Society were successfully held in Changchun from August 16th to 19th, 2025. The theme of this conference is "Animal Behavior: Sound, Color, Taste", which brings together renowned experts and scholars in the field of animal behavior from across the country to explore new trends in the development of the discipline.
During the conference, the latest progress in animal behavior research in China was showcased through various forms such as conference reports and special presentations. The attending experts shared multiple innovative research results, including the neural mechanisms of macaque speech communication, the adaptive reproductive behavior of giant ant spiders, and the evolution of bat vocal behavior, providing new perspectives and methods for animal behavior research.
Nodas Animal Behavior Awards Support Talent Development
As an important part of the conference, the results of the 4th Nordas Animal Behavior Research Award have been officially announced. After rigorous evaluation, two scholars were ultimately awarded the Nordas Young Award in Animal Behavior, 10 scholars received the Nordas Outstanding Poster Award in Animal Behavior, and 15 scholars received the Nordas Outstanding Oral Presentation Award in Animal Behavior. In addition to receiving a certificate of honor, the winners can also receive special research funding support from Nordas.

Innovative products and solutions attract on-site attention
During the conference, Nordas set up a booth on site to showcase a variety of animal behavior research products and equipment, includingAnimal Movement Trajectory Tracking System (EthoVision XT)、Sound Behavior Analysis System (UltraVox XT)、Behavior Observation Record Analysis System (The Observer XT)、Rodent home behavior observation box (PhenoTyper)、Three dimensional motion trajectory tracking system (Track3D)、Intelligent Trajectory Analysis Integrated System (TrackLab)、Insect high-throughput behavior analysis system (EntoLab)、Wait. These products have attracted many scholars to stop and exchange ideas, and many researchers have shared their scientific research achievements using Nordas products on site, providing valuable practical experience for peers.
