Nordas supports innovation and high-quality development of functional food technology

From November 28th to 30th, 2025, the 2025 Functional Food Technology Innovation and High Quality Development Forum, hosted by Jiangxi Agricultural University, organized by the School of Food Science and Engineering of Jiangxi Agricultural University and the School of Health Industry of Shanxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and supported by more than 60 food colleges and enterprises from across the country, was held in Nanchang.
This forum is presented in various forms such as themed reports, sub forum themed reports, youth forums, and exhibition displays. It focuses on the strategic development and trends of functional foods, precision nutrition and human health, food quality and safety testing, exploration of health factors of functional foods, and development and innovation of health foods. A total of 11 sessions with more than 150 reports have been arranged. These reports provide concise interpretations and scientific research findings from their respective research directions and dimensions. A research matrix for innovation in the entire functional food industry chain has been formed. More than 600 experts, scholars, and business representatives from various universities and enterprises participated in the forum.
Food with the same function as medicine has both edible and medicinal value. It can regulate human functions, improve health, and reduce the risk of chronic diseases through nutritional supplementation and bioactive ingredients such as antioxidants and anti-inflammatory substances. Animal behavior assessment is crucial in its research. By using methods such as open field experiments and water maze experiments to observe animal activity levels, anxiety levels, learning and memory behaviors, the safety and effectiveness of functional foods can be verified before human experiments. Combined with physiological indicators, its mechanism of action can be more comprehensively revealed, providing intuitive and important references for the study of the health effects of functional foods. Therefore, it is crucial to accurately analyze the various behaviors of animals.
Nordas has software/hardware for animal behavior analysis and supporting behavioral devices. At this conference, Nordas set up a booth and showcased its research results and application cases. In response to the innovation and development theme of functional foods in this forum, Nordas provided innovative solutions, attracting many guests to stop and visit and gain a deeper understanding. The functional food industry carries the hope of increasing farmers' income and also shoulders the mission of a healthy China. This conference fully explored the transformation path of the functional food industry from "resource advantages" to "health value", reached a consensus that "technology is the core driving force for the upgrading of the health industry", and promoted the deep integration of industry, academia and research.
