Daily maintenance methods for refrigerators and freezers. In order to extend the service life of refrigerators and freezers, daily maintenance is very important. This article is compiled by Haijin and is for your reference only

In winter, when the temperature is relatively low, many friends may leave their refrigerators and freezers idle. How to maintain them after they are stopped?

Decontamination and dust removal: After unplugging the power plug of the refrigerator, take out the food, wait for the frost to melt completely, use a soft cotton fabric dipped in neutral detergent to clean the inside of the refrigerator, and disinfect the box with a 2% ethylene oxide solution. After cleaning and disinfection, the box door should be opened, dried, and then closed for storage. Do not use hot water or organic solvents such as benzene for scrubbing. When wiping the condenser behind the refrigerator, be careful to use a soft dry cloth to remove dust

Adjust knob: Turn the thermostat knob inside the refrigerator to the "stop" or "0" position, so that it is basically in a natural state.

Maintenance door seal: The door seal rubber strip of the refrigerator has magnetism, and if it is not opened for a long time, it is easy to be compressed and adhere to the box. Therefore, after the refrigerator is stopped, you can apply some talcum powder on the door seal and then close the door.

Reasonable storage: Refrigerators and supermarket freezers should be placed in dry and ventilated places, avoiding direct sunlight and away from stoves or heating. If moving, pay attention to the stability of the refrigerator. Due to moisture in the living room, do not cover the refrigerator with plastic sheeting to block dust. Because plastic sheeting is not breathable, moisture is difficult to dissipate when it enters, which can easily cause corrosion of metal parts in the refrigerator.

Regular power on: During the period when the refrigerator is not in use, power on once a month and let the compressor run for 2-4 hours to keep the refrigeration pipeline unobstructed and make the refrigerator compressor run flexibly. After powering on and shutting down, use a soft cloth to dry the moisture inside the refrigerator to prevent rust.
