NGPGSolution for monitoring toxic, harmful, flammable, and explosive gases in sewage treatment plants
1、 Background information
During the process of treating sewage, sewage treatment plants generate a large amount of toxic, harmful, flammable, and explosive gases such as hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, ammonia, methane, etc. due to factors such as anaerobic decomposition of organic matter, decomposition of nitrogen-containing organic matter, and anaerobic fermentation of sludge. These gases not only pose a serious threat to workers, but may also cause safety accidents such as fires and explosions, polluting the surrounding environment. Therefore, real-time monitoring and early warning of toxic, harmful, flammable and explosive gases in sewage treatment stations is an important measure to ensure operational safety and prevent environmental pollution.
2、 The necessity of monitoring
1. Ensure the safety of workersThere may be high concentrations of toxic, harmful, flammable, and explosive gases in the sewage treatment plant. Environmental monitoring can promptly detect these hazards and ensure the safety of workers.
2. Prevent environmental pollutionBy monitoring gas concentration in real-time, emissions can be ensured to comply with national and local environmental standards, reducing environmental pollution.
3. improve work efficiencyReal time monitoring of gas concentration can help sewage treatment plants detect problems in a timely manner and take corresponding measures to avoid shutdowns or equipment failures caused by gas leaks or excessive concentrations, thereby improving work efficiency.
4. Compliant with regulatory requirementsMany countries and regions have relevant regulations and standards that require sewage treatment plants to install gas detection systems and conduct regular gas monitoring.
IIIHigh quality technology(NGPG Solution
1. Regarding sewage treatment stationsNGPG environmental safety single instrument detection

selectNGP5/NGP5-50 gas detector, capable of detecting methane (CH4), ammonia (NH3), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), methyl mercaptan (CH3SH), etc. instrumentsensitiveHigh degreeAccuracy, canCan still work stably in complex environments.
2. Regarding sewage treatment stationsNGPG Environmental Quality Inspection System

ØselectNGP5-50 fixed multi in one gas detector, detecting methane (CH4), ammonia (NH3), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), methyl mercaptan (CH3SH), OU (odor/dimensionless). instrumentsensitiveHigh degreeAccuracy, canCan still work stably in complex environments.
ØSelect the meteorological station louver box environmental detection module to monitor atmospheric pressure, temperature, and humidity.
Øadopt7-inch touch screen display with USB storage, UI interface development includes real-time display, historical query, alarm recording, and manual control functions.
3. Regarding the reservoirNGPG online gas detection system

ØThe NGPG online gas detection system is an online multi-point sampling system that mainly detects ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, and methane. The system can centrally process and analyze the gas samples to be tested at multiple points on site, making maintenance convenient. The system design has 6 air intakes and adopts a walking sampling method to achieve 24-hour continuous monitoring of all air intakes. The detected gas concentration data is displayed on the touch screen.
ØThe system needs to be calibrated regularly. During calibration, the calibration valve is opened while other valves are in a stopped state. The calibration gas is directly sent from the calibration valve to the gas detector for calibration. The calibration process needs to be manually set on the touch screen.
ØThe system has a pathRS485 output (Modbus RTU), 1 relay output (passive) for convenient user docking with proprietary platforms such as PLC and DCS. In addition, the system software has data storage, historical query, alarm query, manual control, parameter setting, and sensor calibration functions.
The implementation of the above plan can effectively ensure the safety of workers in the sewage treatment plant, prevent environmental pollution, improve work efficiency, and comply with relevant regulatory requirements. Meanwhile, through continuous data analysis and improvement measures, monitoring plans and equipment configurations can be continuously optimized to provide strong guarantees for the safe operation of sewage treatment plants.
