1、 Operating standards
Installation and preparation
The instrument should be placed on a stable and hard ground, away from water sources, fire sources, and corrosive substances, and ensure grounding.
Before testing, it is necessary to calibrate the environmental temperature and humidity to meet the standard working conditions (such as temperature of 23 ± 2 ℃, humidity of 50% ± 5% RH).
Check the sealing of the pneumatic system, apply vacuum grease to the sealing ring of the testing chamber, and tighten the chamber to avoid air leakage.
Sample processing and testing
The sample needs to be cut to standard size (such as a circle with a diameter of 97mm), and the surface oil and dust should be removed to avoid damage.
Clamp the sample between the upper and lower testing chambers to ensure a seal without wrinkles.
Set test parameters: temperature, pressure, gas type (such as O ₂, N ₂), wait for the system to stabilize before starting the test.
During the testing process, it is prohibited to touch high-voltage components or disassemble the gas circuit to avoid introducing interfering gases.
Data recording and shutdown
Record the test curve, pressure changes, and final permeability values, and save the data to the designated folder.
After the test is completed, turn off the gas source first, then turn off the instrument power, and clean the remaining material in the test chamber.
2、 Common problem troubleshooting
Insufficient vacuum degree in the test chamber
Reason: Uneven application of vacuum grease, air leakage, and insufficient vacuuming time.
Solution: Apply vacuum grease again, check the air circuit connection, and extend the vacuum pumping time to the specified value (such as more than 3 hours).
Irregular experimental curve
Reason: Temperature fluctuations, excessive sample permeability, or vacuum pump not turned on.
Solution: Stabilize the laboratory environment, check the temperature control device; If the air permeability of the sample exceeds the limit, replace the support block to expand the test volume.
Abnormal sensor reading
Reason: Sensor aging, contamination, or calibration failure.
Solution: Calibrate the sensor with standard gas, and replace it if it is still abnormal; Avoid high concentration gas impacting the sensor.
The instrument cannot be started
Reason: Power failure, battery aging, or circuit board damage.
Solution: Check the power cord connection and replace the original factory battery; If the circuit board corrodes, it needs to be returned to the factory for repair.
Large data deviation
Reason: Sample damage, system leakage, or recording data before reaching steady state.
Solution: Replace the intact sample and reseal the testing chamber; Extend the testing time until the system is stable.
