Sample placement method for salt spray test chamber
Date: 2015-08-14Read: 0

The salt spray corrosion test chamber is suitable for salt spray corrosion testing of components, electronic components, protective layers of metal materials, and industrial products. How should the samples in the salt spray corrosion test chamber be placed for users to conduct tests? Today, the editor will introduce in detail the scientific placement method of the salt spray corrosion test chamber, hoping to help everyone.

Sample placement method for salt spray test chamber
1. The test sample is placed in the salt spray test chamber with the test surface facing up, so that the salt spray generated during spray in the salt spray test chamber can settle freely and deposit on the test surface of the sample, and the salt spray cannot be directly sprayed on the test surface of the sample.
2. The test sample should generally be placed flat. The test surface of the sample in the salt spray test chamber should be at an angle of 15 °~30 ° to the vertical direction, and as close as possible to 20 °. For irregular samples (such as the entire workpiece), it should also be as close as possible to the above requirements.
3. The test samples can be placed on different horizontal surfaces inside the Wuhan salt spray test chamber, but they must not come into contact with the chamber or with each other. The distance between the test samples should not affect the free fall of salt spray on the test surface, and salt spray droplets gathered on the test samples should not drip onto other test samples. For new salt spray tests with a total testing period exceeding 96 hours, the sample can be displaced.
4. The sample bracket is made of materials that are resistant to salt spray, acid and alkali corrosion, such as glass and plastic. If the sample needs to be suspended on the bracket, the material used to suspend the sample cannot be metal. Generally, non-metallic materials such as cotton fiber, artificial fiber or other insulation materials are used.
The test bracket is generally 8-10 pieces, and the 'V' - shaped sample bracket is the corresponding 8-10 pieces. Of course, the number, size, and testing period of the customer's test samples can be adjusted appropriately, which should be explained when ordering.
The above method solves the problem of how to place the test samples in the salt spray test chamber. Please refer to it.
