TRIME is based on Time Domain Reflectometry with Intelligent MicroElements (TDR) technology. Used to directly measure the dielectric constant of soil or other media, which is closely related to the soil moisture content. The soil moisture content can be calculated and displayed by the reading system through analog voltage output.

During measurement, a metal waveguide is used to transmit TDR signals, and TRIME generates a high-frequency electromagnetic wave of 1 GHz. The electromagnetic wave propagates along the waveguide and generates an electromagnetic field around the probe. The signal is transmitted to the end of the waveguide and then reflected back to the emission source. The transmission time is between 10ps and 2ns. IMKO invented this measurement technology, allowing the instrument to detect time signals as small as 3ps. Established a method for time sampling. This makes the measurement of soil moisture more accurate and convenient.
