Multi manifold vacuum freeze dryer is a device that combines multi manifold design with vacuum freeze drying technology. It achieves material drying through low-temperature freezing and vacuum sublimation, while retaining the stability of its structure and composition.
working principle
The working principle of the multi manifold vacuum freeze dryer is based on the physical changes of substances, and the specific steps are as follows:
Freezing: Place the material in a freezer and use a refrigeration system (such as a compressor or liquid nitrogen refrigeration) to cool the material to below freezing point, causing the moisture to freeze into ice.
Vacuum: After sealing the freezer, the vacuum system (vacuum pump, vacuum container, and pipeline) extracts the indoor air, creating a low-pressure environment and reducing the boiling point of ice.
Sublimation: Under low temperature and low pressure conditions, ice directly sublimates from solid state to gaseous water vapor, avoiding material shrinkage or deformation caused by traditional drying.
Water capture: The sublimated water vapor is pumped by a vacuum pump to the water capture chamber, where it condenses and captures on the outer wall of the low-temperature discharge pipe, achieving water removal.
Heating: supplying heat energy through heating plates through thermal conduction or radiation, continuously sublimating the moisture in the material until it meets the drying requirements.
Main functions
Temperature control: It can accurately control the temperature of the cold trap, material tray, etc. The temperature of the material tray can be adjusted and controlled to meet the freeze-drying process requirements of different materials.
Vacuum degree control: It can achieve accurate adjustment and control of vacuum degree, set the temperature of the cold trap, and only turn on the vacuum pump when it is lower than the set value to protect the service life of the vacuum pump. Some instruments also have fully automatic vacuum pressure differential valves to prevent oil backflow.
Data recording and storage: Adopting an industrial grade embedded operating system, it can automatically save freeze-drying data, support the storage of multiple sets of freeze-drying curves, copy data to a computer through a USB drive, and use upper computer software for browsing, printing, and other operations.
Inflation function: Equipped with an inflation valve, it can be filled with dry inert gas, such as nitrogen, for easy protection and handling of samples.
maintenance
Cleaning equipment: Regularly clean the drying room, cold trap, and material tray to avoid residue affecting the next experiment.
Check the power supply and wiring: Ensure the power supply is stable, the wiring is not damaged, and avoid electrical faults.
Check the vacuum pump and refrigeration system: Regularly replace the vacuum pump oil, check the pressure of the refrigeration system, and ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
Operation specifications: Strictly follow the equipment operation manual to avoid equipment damage caused by misoperation.
