Detailed explanation of debugging methods and precautions for microporous plate constant temperature oscillator
Date: 2025-06-15Read: 4
Microplate constant temperature oscillatorIt has a wide range of applications in biochemical experiments, cell culture, enzyme kinetics research, and many other fields. Correct debugging is crucial for the accuracy of experimental results and the stable operation of instruments. The following are detailed debugging methods and precautions to be taken.
1、 Preparation before debugging
Before debugging, it is important to ensure that the instrument is placed on a stable, sturdy, and level surface to avoid unstable operation and measurement errors caused by shaking or tilting. At the same time, check whether the power supply voltage meets the requirements of the instrument, generally within ± 10% of the nominal voltage, to prevent voltage instability from causing damage to the instrument. In addition, it is necessary to carefully inspect the appearance of the instrument to confirm that there is no obvious damage or looseness in any components, such as the fixing device of the microplate and the oscillating arm.
2、 Temperature adjustment
After turning on the instrument power, enter the temperature setting interface. According to the specific requirements of the experiment, set an appropriate temperature value, for example, the common cell culture temperature is 37 ℃. After setting, observe the temperature rise process of the instrument, which can be monitored in real time through the instrument's built-in temperature display function. When using it for the first time, it is best to place a calibrated thermometer (such as a high-precision mercury thermometer or digital thermometer) near the location of the microplate and compare it with the temperature displayed on the instrument, allowing for a certain range of error (usually within ± 0.5 ℃). If it exceeds this range, it may be necessary to calibrate the temperature sensor of the instrument or contact the manufacturer's after-sales personnel for maintenance.

3、 Adjustment of oscillation speed
Enter the oscillation speed setting option and select the appropriate oscillation speed according to the experimental requirements. Generally speaking, the speed setting range can be adjusted from low speed to high speed. First, select a lower speed for preliminary debugging. After activating the oscillation function, observe the oscillation of the liquid inside the microplate to see if a uniform mixing effect can be achieved. If the liquid shakes too violently, it may cause splashing and other problems, and the speed can be appropriately reduced; If the mixing is uneven, the speed needs to be gradually increased until a suitable oscillation speed is found, which can ensure sufficient mixing of the sample without any abnormal situations.
4、 Time setting debugging
According to the duration requirements of the experiment, set the corresponding running time in the time setting module of the instrument. Some experiments require long-term continuous oscillation culture, such as cell culture which may take 24 hours or even longer, while some enzyme reaction experiments may only require a few minutes to several hours. After setting the time, start the instrument and observe whether the time count is accurate to ensure that the instrument can stop running accurately when the set time is reached.
5、 Precautions
During the debugging process, it is necessary to strictly follow the operating instructions of the instrument to avoid damaging the instrument due to misoperation. After each parameter adjustment, it is best to wait for the instrument to run stably for a period of time (such as 10-15 minutes) before observing the effect, as it takes some time for the instrument to reach a new stable state such as temperature and speed. In addition, different experimental samples and reagents may have special requirements for oscillation conditions, and the tuning parameters need to be flexibly adjusted according to the actual situation.
In short, only by proficiently mastering the debugging method of the microporous plate constant temperature oscillator and paying attention to relevant matters can the instrument perform ideally in experiments, providing reliable support for scientific research and experiments.
