In sewage treatment, industrial neutralization, and environmental protection processes, precise control of the pH value of the solution is the core link to ensure treatment effectiveness and equipment safety.As the "executive terminal" of the automatic dosing system, SEGO dosing pump is responsible for accurately adding acid or alkali agents to the water body to adjust pH, and the "smart brain" of this process, the PH probe, has become a key role in driving the accurate operation of the dosing pump through real-time monitoring and signal feedback.

  1、 The core function of PH probe: real-time monitoring and signal conversion
The PH probe is essentially a high-precision chemical sensor that directly contacts the measured water body through a special glass electrode or composite electrode, and generates a potential difference (i.e. pH signal) by utilizing the difference in hydrogen ion activity between the solution inside and outside the electrode. The signal is converted into a standard electrical signal by an amplification circuit and transmitted to the pH display control table in the control cabinet (electrical box). For example, when the pH value of the water body is lower than the set lower limit (such as 6.0), the probe outputs a corresponding low current signal; When the pH value exceeds the upper limit (such as 9.0), a high current signal is output. This "real-time monitoring+electrical signal quantification" function provides a reliable data foundation for subsequent automatic control.
  2、 Collaborative mechanism with Saigao dosing pump: closed-loop control and precise adjustment
Saigao dosing pumps are usually equipped with microprocessors or variable frequency control systems, which can receive 4-20mA signals transmitted by probes and intelligently compare them with the user's preset pH range (such as 6.5-7.5). The specific collaborative process is as follows:
1. Automatic start stop control: When the probe detects that the pH is below the lower limit (such as 6.0), the control cabinet sends a start signal to the alkali dosing pump and shuts down the acid dosing pump; When the pH reaches the upper limit (such as 9.0), stop the alkali pump and start the acid pump. Some systems also support "liquid level linkage" - when the liquid level in the dosing tank is too low, the probe signal and the liquid level sensor jointly trigger shutdown protection.
2. Precise adjustment of dosing amount: For large water treatment scenarios, the Saigao dosing pump adopts a variable frequency motor. The 4-20mA signal of the pH probe not only controls the start and stop of the pump, but also directly adjusts the frequency of the frequency converter to change the flow rate of the pump (such as dynamic adjustment within the range of 20-54L/H), ensuring that the pH value quickly returns to the set range and avoiding excessive dosing.
3. Multi mode adaptation: Whether it is the "on-off control" (only start stop pump) of small water volume systems or the "variable frequency regulation" of large water volume, the pH probe ensures real-time synchronization between the dosing pump and water quality changes through stable signal output, achieving closed-loop management of "measurement control investment".
  3、 Key role extension: dual guarantee of stability and security
The accuracy of the pH probe directly affects the operational efficiency and system safety of the dosing pump. If the probe malfunctions (such as signal drift caused by glass electrode contamination or aging), it may cause the dosing pump to malfunction; High precision probes can maintain signal stability for a long time, and with regular calibration, can ensure that the dosing pump always adds as needed, saving medication costs and avoiding environmental risks or equipment damage caused by pH loss control.
From "monitoring" to "execution", the pH probe transmits water quality change information through electrical signals, driving the precise adjustment of the Saigao dosing pump, becoming an "invisible but irreplaceable" intelligent commander in water treatment processes, providing core support for the automation and efficiency of pH control.
