Take care of your microscope and clean it
Protect your microscope
Damp, steam, acidic, alkaline, and corrosive substances should not be placed near your microscope;
Improper operation, magnification limit, disassembly of optical system;
Do not apply grease to guide rails and mechanical parts.
Dust and oil stains can affect your test results, therefore:
When not in use, cover your microscope with a dust cover;
The dust cover should cover the opening, eyepiece, and eyepiece tube;
Use rubber blowing balls and soft bristled brushes to remove dust;
Use a special cleaning cloth and pure alcohol to clean the eyepiece and objective lens;
Unused accessories should be stored in a dust-free environment.
Clean plastic parts
Various parts made of plastic and plastic coatings feel comfortable to touch and operate. However, the use of inappropriate cleaning agents can cause irregularities
Proper cleaning can damage the plastic. Please note what to do and what not to do:
Never clean plastic:
Using an ultrasonic cleaner, the plastic will become very fragile and eventually break;
Corrosive agents or acetone, containing chemicals such as ethyl alcohol;
Any other organic solvent, except for alcohol and isopropanol.
Clean plastic and use it safely:
After washing with mild soapy water, rinse again with purified water;
Alcohol (industrial alcohol) and isopropanol.
