Technical characteristics and maintenance related knowledge of benzene crystallization point analyzer
Date: 2025-11-07Read: 0
The benzene crystallization point analyzer is an experimental device used to determine the crystallization point (i.e. solidification point) of benzene based substances. By detecting the change in crystallization temperature of benzene during the cooling process, its purity and quality can be determined. ‌
The benzene crystallization point analyzer operates based on the characteristic that the solubility of a substance in a solvent changes with temperature. Specifically, after adding the substance to the benzene solution to form a saturated solution, the instrument gradually lowers the temperature of the constant temperature bath until crystallization is observed. At this point, using a precise temperature measurement device, the instrument can accurately record the temperature of the crystallization point.
Technical Features
Automated control: The benzene crystallization point analyzer has fully automatic control functions, including automatic cooling, stirring, detection, and data storage. This greatly reduces manual operation errors and labor intensity, and improves measurement efficiency and accuracy.
High precision measurement: Using high-precision temperature sensors and temperature control systems to ensure measurement accuracy of ± 0.01 ℃. Some instruments also have high resolution, such as reaching 0.1 ℃ or even higher, to accurately capture subtle temperature changes during the benzene crystallization process.
Double hole design: Most benzene crystallization point measuring instruments adopt a double hole design, which can simultaneously detect two samples and improve experimental efficiency.
Multiple cooling methods: Supports semiconductor cooling or compressor cooling technology, which can quickly reach the temperature range required for experiments.
Security protection mechanism: equipped with over temperature protection function, which can avoid supercooling caused by rapid cooling and ensure measurement accuracy. At the same time, the instrument also has power protection function to adapt to voltage fluctuations of 220V ± 10%.
The maintenance of the benzene crystallization point analyzer should focus on environmental control, component inspection, and regular calibration to ensure equipment accuracy and service life.
environmental control
Temperature and humidity: The instrument should be placed on a laboratory countertop with stable temperature (20 ± 5 ℃), no vibration, and no direct sunlight, away from heat or cold sources. ‌
Horizontal calibration: Ensure the instrument is level by using the bottom leveling feet to avoid tilting and causing uneven liquid in the sample tube or poor contact of the temperature sensor. ‌
Core component inspection
Cooling system: Check whether the cooling pipeline (such as ethanol dry ice bath) is leaking or blocked. The cooling medium (such as ethanol solution) should be prepared according to the instructions, and the liquid level should be maintained at 2/3 of the cooling chamber. ‌
Mixing system: The magnetic stirrer should be clean and undamaged, with a uniform mixing rate (200-300rpm) to avoid local temperature unevenness. ‌
Temperature sensor: The probe is not deformed or corroded, inserted at a depth of 1/2-2/3 below the sample liquid level, and does not touch the pipe wall or stirrer. ‌
