New force in palm spectroscopy: innovative application of MINI type spectrophotometer module
Date: 2025-12-19Read: 0
In the field of spectral analysis, traditional large-scale monochromators have been limited in their application scenarios due to their large size and high cost. With the breakthrough of optical technology,The MINI type spectrophotometer module is redefining the boundaries of spectral analysis with its "small size, high energy" characteristics, becoming the "new favorite" of spectroscopy in scientific research, industry, and biomedical fields.

1、 Exquisite design: a "spatial magician" with a focal length of 74mm
The MINI monochromator module adopts an Ebert Fastie optical path structure, which optimizes the mirror angle and grating position to achieve efficient light splitting within a focal length of only 74mm. Its core components include replaceable inlet/outlet slits, holographic or regular gratings, and aluminum/gold coated mirrors.
2、 Four in one: a "spectral toolbox" that meets diverse needs
For different application scenarios, MINI modules have evolved into four major types:
1. Standard Type (MC): Manually tuning the wavelength using a spiral micrometer, suitable for teaching experiments and basic research.
2. Digital type (DMC): equipped with a digital counter, with a wavelength reading accuracy of 0.2nm, supporting fast positioning of characteristic spectral lines.
3. Scanning type (SMC): Integrated stepper motor, can automatically scan wavelength range, suitable for high-throughput detection.
4. Scanning digital type (SDMC): Combining digital display and motor drive, balancing manual fine-tuning and automated operation.
3、 Cross disciplinary application: "Spectral engine" from laboratory to production line
With its compact size and high performance, MINI modules have penetrated into multiple fields:
1. Biomedical: Embedded clinical chemistry analyzer to achieve rapid spectral detection of blood, urine and other samples.
2. Environmental monitoring: Integrated into industrial process analyzers, real-time monitoring of pollutant components in wastewater and exhaust gas.
3. Materials Science: Used with fiber optic probes for surface defect detection of semiconductor and photovoltaic materials.
4. OEM system: As a modular component, it provides core spectroscopic functions for equipment such as spectrometers and spectrophotometers.
4、 Performance benchmark: uncompromising "technical standard" for small size
Despite its reduced size, the MINI module is no less impressive in key parameters:
1. Luminous flux: By optimizing grating efficiency and slit design, the signal strength approaches that of large equipment.
2. Stray light: suppression rate ≤ 0.003%, ensuring high-precision measurement.
3. Durability: Accumulated over a million scan tests, with a lifespan of over 10 years.
From laboratory countertops to industrial production lines, MINI type spectrophotometer modules are evolving towards more efficient and flexible spectral analysis technology with a "small yet beautiful" attitude. In the future, with the integration of optical coating and microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) technology, such modules are expected to be further miniaturized, ushering in a new era of "spectrum portability".
