A vacuum drying oven is a device used to dry, dehumidify, or heat treat materials in a vacuum environment. It is mainly used for low-temperature rapid drying of heat sensitive, easily decomposable, and oxidizable substances. The core principle is to rapidly evaporate water or solvents at lower temperatures by reducing the pressure inside the box, while avoiding material oxidation or denaturation due to high temperatures. The air inside the box is extracted by a vacuum pump to form a vacuum state, reducing the boiling point of water and allowing the water in the sample to evaporate at lower temperatures. At the same time, the heating system works to raise the temperature inside the box to the set drying temperature. Under the action of vacuum and high temperature, the moisture in the sample evaporates rapidly and is discharged outside the box through a vacuum pump, thereby achieving rapid drying.
structural composition
Box body: usually made of materials such as stainless steel or aluminum alloy, with good sealing and corrosion resistance. The inner wall of the box is smooth and equipped with an observation window for easy observation of the drying condition of the sample.
Vacuum system: composed of vacuum pump, vacuum gauge, and vacuum pipeline, etc. The vacuum pump is responsible for extracting air from the box, the vacuum gauge is used to measure the vacuum level inside the box, and the vacuum pipeline connects various components to ensure the normal operation of the vacuum system.
Heating system: composed of heating elements and temperature controllers. Heating elements often use electric heating wires or electric heating tubes to provide the required heat for drying, and temperature controllers accurately control the temperature inside the box.
Control system: It is mostly composed of microcomputer controllers or PLC controllers, with accurate temperature control, time setting, and fault alarm functions. It can easily set drying parameters and monitor equipment operation status in real time.
Main Features
High drying efficiency: The vacuum environment reduces the boiling point of the liquid, making it easy to apply to thermosensitive substances. For samples that are not easily dried, such as powder or granular samples, it can effectively shorten the drying time.
Good drying effect: Various complex mechanical components or porous samples are cleaned and dried using vacuum drying method, leaving no residual substances after drying.
High safety: Under vacuum or inert conditions, the possibility of oxides exploding when exposed to heat is eliminated, and compared to ordinary drying, powdered samples will not be blown or moved by flowing air.
Application field
Research field: commonly used for sample drying, purification, and preservation. In fields such as biochemistry, pharmaceuticals, and food science, it can ensure that samples are not affected by oxygen and moisture during the drying process, maintaining their original properties and activity.
Industrial production: widely used in the drying treatment of electronic components, precision mechanical parts, chemical raw materials and other products, which can remove moisture and volatile substances from products, improve product quality and stability.
